I am not certain but I may have stumbled into a wonder-filled resource? I am currently carving a 12" troll. I am seeking guidance on finishing/painting pieces. Projects which I consider a B+, when painted I would rate a C-.. I have just put polyurethane or epoxy clear coat on bare wood to limit "Trashing" the piece with paint. Can this instructional series be applied to my carvings or can you direct me "where to go." I loved this video and learn a lot from it Thank You.

Thanks Lyla, great video, and the end result looked so cool. Really awesome miniature. What I don't understand is how highlighting like this makes something look metallic - will this method not result in the same locations for highlights as any other material?
@LylaMev3 жыл бұрын
Great question! It's actually the second reflections that I go over in the advanced section that actually make it metallic. The gloss varnish is just to get you started.
