I made this today for a dinner party and it was soo good. Everyone said they LOVED it and this was my first time makeing an Alfredo sauce so I was pretty nervous. Here's a tip: After you add the cream to the butter, the sauce might look like it's falling apart, its not. Keep simmering it untill the butter mixes fully into the cream and then once it thickens, add you cheese by handfuls untill your out of cheese. The sauce was perfect 🫶

Thank you, John, for another delicious looking dinner. I have a story about Alfredo's in Rome you might enjoy. My parents went to Europe in 1956 with a group. Their trip included dinner at Alfredo's in Rome. Alfredo, himself, came to their table and mixed the pasta with the sauce at the table. I'm not sure how many were in their group, but it was probably a dozen or so. After mixing the pasta, Alfredo served my mom first. She was delighted, of course, but assumed he'd just picked her at random. She later heard that Alfredo always served either the prettiest or the oldest woman at the table. My mom said she was def not the oldest (she was 37).

I made this last night. It turned out really good! I liked that there weren't a lot of ingredients involved to make the sauce. That's one of the biggest things that throws me off making a dish, when there are a million things you need to add. I didn't add the chicken cuz I'm not really a fan but it turned out great regardless! I've got a ton of leftovers cuz I made extra and will enjoy eating this for the next few days. Thank you for the always awesome recipes and for all the cooking advice you give and for explaining them. I really love that part of your videos the most, the fact that I'm genuinely learning something, not just making a dish!

You mentioned cooking with propane being hot. We have a house in Mexico and cook with propane. There is a flow restricter that you put in the gas stove to reduce the heat. But so far we haven't been able to reduce the heat enough. Even on the lowest setting things burn. So we got a metal platform to put the pan on above the flame to reduce the heat more.
