This is something I need. Thanks for doing this video. I have just found this site and will subscribe to see just what you do...About the bolts being flush. I have built some things for myself where the mounting bolts were not as flush as I would want. I then drilled out the bolt head dimple in the "table" part and walla, it worked fine. Just a fix for a potential problem. I really like this project...

I have the T2 version of the Delta table saw you have. Overall, especially considering the price, I really like it. I did replace the two piece rails, which I think you did also, with a one piece. I also made walnut side tables because my steel ones were VERY concave. Anyway, nice video, keep up the good work.

Nice build and explanation for finer details. I made an outfeed wing for my sawstop few months ago. I ended up using piano hinge as well. Premade legs would have sped up process. I used melamine mdf 1/8 inch to cover 3/4 inch ply. The melamine is sllick. If melamine gets beat up I can replace quickly

We have one of those tables... Now I'm wondering if my wife would notice it missing. Also I wonder how the plastic table top might work as the out feed table instead of plywood. Maybe it's not flat enough?
@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt Жыл бұрын
Haha I have no idea where the table went honey! Maybe your sister nabbed it? 🤣 well I think it would work, my thoughts why I swapped to wood was the piano hinge, I figured the plastic would give and tear out over time or maybe begin to sag since there would be 1/2 of the weight, pressure on that hinge
@charlespatt
@charlespatt Жыл бұрын
@@BitnerBuilt piano hinge definitely works well in the plywood. I only have a small portable table saw so now I'm trying to figure out a portable out feed table to go with it. This video gave me some good ideas. Well done explanations of everything, by the way.

Nice and simple, but one question would legs from Rockler or some other source work as well without buying a table that’s essentially waste?
@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt Ай бұрын
Haven’t tried but of course any mountable legs will work. I ended up using both sets of legs (yes top was waste) made a French cleat mounted folding cleaning station for my in laws

If I don't use my table saw to cut sheet material, is there any reason why I should have or need extensioin wings?
@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt 4 ай бұрын
Adding an extension wing is primarily just to support material that would be otherwise overhanging on the tablesaw. There’s a lot of times that I pull it out just because I’m trimming something that’s larger and I want to support it, other than cutting sheet goods more space when you need it is never a bad thing!

I have a video request that I think can do a lot of good. Its a challenge type request that I specifically searched out a small channel to issue to and disclaimer, it obviously it pertains a lot to my current goals. Design and build a chicken coop (and run hopefully) that any non-carpenter and very poor person could accomplish building. Parameters: 10 chickens? 8? Only one piece plywood Unlimited salvaged pallets Hammer Sawsall Salvaged nails or deck screws 4x4s allowed if salvaged, many people don't know but "dunnage" is actually easy to source and free 50' hardware cloth Bonus points if movable.

So let me think on this one, it’s not a grab stuff you have and go but I would have to source items! I also have a schedule for my next 20 vids so I’d have to look after that, very interesting tho!
