Hi Ali, received my FW removable blade grip rotor head today from your affiliate link. CNC machining is excellent, I'd give it 8/10. I plan on disassembling to ensure everything has Loctite, and the thrust bearings are assembled correctly and to obviously grease. I purchased a plastic rotor head from FW and of course, with their QC, one side was done correctly and the other side had the the same size diameter races (instead of one large, one small). To quote my friend Alishanmao, I was at my kitchen table and said "OMG man" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

When GPS loses satellites or disconnects from flight controller mid flight, Flight controller will switch to ATT flight mode. you will still have controls to fly it. just that it won't lock and hold its position

Great video, Wondering if the helicopter has a RTH feature do you have to calibrate outside? Also when is the new GPS unit that does not require calibration going to be available? First time I removed the tail boom when calibrating, makes things so much easier.

no need to calibrate RTH feature, there is no calibration for that, once GPS locks all sats, and you take off, flight controller marks that spot as home point. if you turn off radio, battery is low and or you activate RTH, it will return and land to that spot

turn off your antivirus, download and immediately make an exception in your anti virus for the executable file. then you can use it

According to FlyWing not only does the UH1 V3 not need calibration but the FW450 V3 also does not need calibration. They have been calibrated at the factory and then you can fly anywhere in the world. Also in the V3 manual if calibration is no longer required I wonder why that is not mentioned? Maybe it was and I missed it. Also I noticed you calibrated your V3 inside. The V3 manual says if the compass is calibrated indoors, remember to recalibrate when changing to outdoor flight to prevent compass abnormality during flight due to magnetic field difference between the two places

I have always done my flywing compass calibrations indoors and flew without any issues outdoor. Today I flew V3 twice, and never had any issue. did not do any calibration on new gps, videos coming soon

Note I have the new gps module for my fw450lv2 note not the v3 ok removed the old one replaced it so I would not have to go through all of that hooking it up to my lap top and going through all those flips but all I get is a flashing red light no solid green I thought if I replaced it with the new module it would work but it doesn't just a flashing red light???so what do I do now?

Am trying to connect H1 Flywing controller to Windows 11 PC. Have installed the Driver & the H1_Heli v 1.9 software. When I plug in the Flywing supplied USB cable the light on the controller fast flashes a mixture of Red & Blue. However then opening the software always results in no connection (no Com ports show) and please also note on first connecting the USB I do not hear the usual PC bleep, as when I plug in any other USB accessory. I use AVG Protection software.

@@alishanmao Thanks for replying - I have sorted out the problem myself - the USB C port in the H1 Controller was discovered to be very 'tight' - pushing the plug in harder/ further, gave me a proper connection. One further question - when in the H1_Heli software, having put in your suggested settings, am I right in thinking that to 'save' those settings one just 'clicks' on another 'tab'??

Good day. You really know your stuff. I have the us coastguard RC helicopter. The GPS locks on fairly quick. I just bought a second one. I did do a gyro and compass calibration on it ( I don’t remember it I did this before the gps locked on). Anyway the first time it took 5 minutes for it to lock on. Then the helicopter flew great. GPS definitely working, a few days latter it took 30 minutes for the gps to lock on, once it locked on, no issues. Flew great and gps was working. I am not shure why 2 nd helicopter takes this long. Maybe GPS needs to be fully locked in when the compass calibration is done. Any other ideas, please let me know. Thank you and keep up the great work

Do you have to have the remote controller on and battery plugged? I was told that calibration must be performed on 3D mode (Scale Heli UH-1)...does not make sense to me. Too many different ways in my opinion leads to confusion, FlyWing itself has 3 different videos about calibration and all 3 are different ways

hi Ali what causes the alarm when i plug the battery to my fw450 v2. I can hear the alarm coming from the main motor. But when I put to 3D mode and start the motor the alarm will stop for the rest of the operation . once yo unplug the battery and plugged it again then you can hear the alarm once again. what are the possible cause. The heli is well calibrated as well as the radio. thanks

what sort of alarm? there is no alarm in these helis. maybe motor / esc beeps you are talking about?

I have 2 Flywing gps pre calibrated helicopters. One locks satalites with in seconds. The other takes forever sometimes don't lock satellites at all. Does recalibrate help or should I just order a new gps module on top of the flight controller?

Thank you. I ended up ordering a new gps module from Flywing. It was only $25 with the discount. I then re-calibrated, just like you advised and showed in the vid. Now Huey works perfect. Just like my airwolf. It locks gps in like 15 seconds. It's awesome . Thank you again for teaching me how to fix these issues.

follow the process. and once the bars are completed, restart the flight controller. flight controller will restart automatically if you checked, auto restart option. that means calibration already done successfully. go out and fly :) have fun

Do you know if there is any setting to soften the takeoff? My FW450 just leaps up off the ground on takeoff a good 6 feet or so.

Hi, Got myself a FW450 and fly great for about a week. Try to fly again yesterday under GPS Mode and the helicopter started to fly away and I loss all control of the helicopter. Controller sticks have no control of the helicopter. I was able to bring helicopter back and landed safely by hitting the return home button. Please help.

its to save your helicopter from crashing during 3d. watch this video. you can turn it on and set safe altitude to 7 or 8 meters. so when you do 3D, and make a mistake, as soon as it drops below 7 or 8 set altitude it will switch to GPS and save from crashing. if you do not plan to do 3d. keep it off, watch this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/f3irYWWYqa-MesU

dumb heli . my does not un screw allen head bolts they strip out ,they used some kind of locking shit, the tail motor connector to the body is danageours no shrink tube on the connector ,its about 1/16 of and inch between each brass fitting,the GPS connections are piss poor.
