I love this recipe! I use it for pizza bases too! Mix as quickly as possible to get it onto baking parchment before it thickens completely then it's easier to "spread out" Same temp oven for about 10 mins then flip over for about 5 mins. Then, out of the oven, topings on and back in the oven till toppings are cooked. Delicious.

Personally I use 150gms of ground almonds, half a cup of fresh ground linseed, 1/2tsp salt , 4tsp gluten free baking powder, 1tbsp apple cider vinegar, 1/3 cup of coconut oil, 6 large egg whites. Whisk thoroughly, also 6 large egg whites beaten until stiff peaks in separate bowl, gently fold the whisked egg whites into the first mixture. Pour into a 8x4 lined bread tin and bake for 1 hour at 180c. Remove from oven& rest in tin for 20mins, turn out& cool on rack. Just absolutely lovely.

I have been making the loaf up until now and yes I do always get the air gap and it's slightly moist in the middle. I haven't been finding it too much of a problem as I just toast up the slices to crisp them up. I'll definitely try these rolls they look so good! And yes my family complains of the fishy taste, I'm not bothered - but I'll maybe try and caraway seeds sound like a nice addition, or fennel. Thanks again Dr Myhill for your positive, uplifting and refreshing energy! Please, please introduce to us more of your tried and tested recipes, especially maybe some family recipes.

Hello ! I have a major concern regarding the flax meal. Since it oxidizes very easily at high temperatures, how does the heat affect the fat on the flax? Does the oven turn the omega 3 rich seed in inflamatory omega 6 due to the baking process? Thank you!
@paulinawojtaszek5634 Жыл бұрын
Good question. We can read or hear everywhere that it is very unhealthy to backe or cook or stir nuts and seeds. So why dr Myhill is recomending baked flaxseed. And why question like ours are left behind. Can some one explain this subject?
@laboutinais91842 ай бұрын
Aha, could this explain the very high omega 6 to 3 in a recent blood test? I don't eat veg oils and was expecting it to be a lot lower. It would be great if Dr Sarah could comment on this. Husband and I love her work, and have felt much better, following her advice.

Hi doc, thanks for the recipe. What is your opinion on linseed/flaxseed effects on lowering testosterone? I have been avoiding it, but don't know if the risks are overstated, or if it just applies to uncooked.

Hi there Chris! Hope you are well. I use half a teaspoon of salt, but it really depends on your tastebuds. The fennel seeds really take the edge off the linseed taste. Stay well my friend!

I would like to know why wheat is non-Paleo, but other grains are permitted, in large quantities? Would it not be the wild form of the plants, with very low yields per plants and not many plants available for 'gathering' from? I have sent scone and break mixes from ''Helen's Foods'' online (she is/was a nutritionist in Ireland), which are linseed recipes. Not specifically Paleo, but they said the scones and bread were delicious.

Please could you tell me, did you add the fennel seeds after you measured the linseeds or were the fennel seeds an extra addition? If so roughly how much fennel sees? Thank you 🙏🏼

Fennel after the linseed probably around a teaspoon full. And adjust to your taste next batch.

I wonder why you chose linseed? Does it have higher nutritional values than coconut flour or Almond flour? or Does linseed have lower carb content that do coconut flour and Almond flour, so it stabilizes blood glucose more efficiently and effectively than do the coconut and almond flour? Your guidance is valuable to a novice in nutrition like me. Thank you

Linseed is very low carb (unlike coconut/almond flour). It has many additional benefits: high in omega 3s, high in protein, high in cancer-reducing lignans, high in fibre and is also a prebiotic (encourages growth of probiotic bacteria in the gut). Linseed/flaxseed is seriously good stuff!

Hi, bought the virus pack last week and it says take 2 drops of iodine orally on a daily basis as soon as virus starts. In the KZbin Dr Myhill says put 2 drops in the salt pipe sniff the iodine . So does she no longer advises taking 2 drops orally? Also regarding the 2 drops in the pipe, do you just keep adding two drops every day you’re sniffing them when you have the virus? Thanks

Hi Elena, I don't fully know the answer to that - but when we filmed - Dr Myhill showed us to put two drops in the salt pipe each inhalation. I am on my third try at this recipe, this time doing rolls. But I have observed that I may not have ground the linseeds sufficiently in previous attempts. I also bought a new little set of scales as I was suspicious of the digital scales I was using. This time I did it exactly as she recommended and on top of that am cooking the rolls in a large cast iron fry pan with iron handle to ensure there is a lot of heat under them while they cook. Even when they didn't work so well I still found them useable - I just toasted or fried them as the doughy centres are still cooked, just not very attractive.
