My brother gifted a Foodie to me. As a Boomer, I love how Jetsons it seems! It is not only a futuristic techie appliance but VERY practical as well. I use mine on the daily so that I don’t have to heat up my kitchen in these hot, humid summers. It acts a mini convection oven, roast, sauté, baking, can pressure cook, can use for canning, making yogurt, panna cotta and really anything that an entire kitchen’s worth of large old school appliances, pots and pans can do. For all of the naysayers that the old school boiled egg, shell cracking way is better,,,nope. Just different. This way is futuristic and way more fun!

I just purchased a 6.5 Ninja a few days ago. I have tried so many methods to cook eggs for easy peeling and all have failed. I have fresh eggs from my chickens. I tried the eggs in the Ninja and oh my goodness I was so happy. I am making a platter of deviled eggs for a family function today and they look beautiful since the eggs didn't stick to the shell. I was on the fence on this purchase, but no more. I baked a chicken and browned it last night when I got home from work for dinner all in one pot at the fraction of the time it would have taken me the normal way in the oven. This thing is amazing. Can't wait to try more recipes.

Hi. I watched your video yesterday, I made this today and I am impressed! I made one 6-egg batch and shared my first batch with my mother-in-law. (She lives in a Sr apartment.) With that being said, I am now making my second batch so I can have some in the fridge for later. A great recipe and a great technique. So happy for the "no-peel"!

🤩 I tried the egg salad technique this morning, loved it. I need to tweet my recipe just a bit, my eggs were a bit rubbery ( I think I can adjust my timing). I also thought my pan was non stick, unfortunately it wasn’t 😢. I may try a little butter to coat the pan before I look into purchasing a new pan. Thank you again.

You could also line it with parchment paper. If the eggs were rubbery, definitely decrease your PC time.

I am certain I am not the first person that made egg salad for a crowd using a container with broken eggs. That said, I have used this process for probably ten years and have sent in replies to cooking sites giving their instructions to make hard cooked for salad. My instructions told people what I did to make a perfect egg salad. Everyone has liked my egg salad for years. Shelling the cooked eggs meant I rarely made egg salad. I have a small rice cooker/vegetable steamer. It has a clear plastic bowl for steaming. I would break 18 extra large eggs from Costco into the bowl. Cook for 20 minutes. Then I would take out the lump of eggs, and using a simple whisk, break them apart. I would then add my additions. I've tried doing this with a sous vide stick in a plastic bag, and it worked just as well. Used a cooking spray inside the bag. If you have ever used sous vide to make eggs, they are truly magical when they are done. Now I have a sous vide water oven, that injects steam into the oven. I just need to get a ceramic baking dish that is somewhat shallow to keep the eggs about two layers high. I am reasonably certain they will come out perfect. Just like your pressure cooked eggs. But I agree with you, not having to shell hard cooked eggs, makes this a much easier dish to make. So, I can make it more frequently.

Now...imagine a 10lb Thanksgiving turkey done in less than 2 hours, cheesecakes cooked to perfection, beans in less than an hour, roasts in less than 2 hours, soups/stews, one pot spaghetti, perfect rice every time, banana bread, corn bread and the list goes on...it's not just for boiled eggs....

Mother used to make them up and serve them still warm. That was the best. We never let them chill. She'd also use a dash of mild curry powder, and chopped dill pickle (no sweet pickle, no celery seed). I'll have to check out this Instant pot method.

Hello Ms. Louise, thanks for sharing this technique. I must say you have an great charisma that makes me want to keep watching. If I may, I would like to give a shout out to Mt. Olive pickles for the relish portion (being from NC). I use there bread and butter pickles chopped for the relish, and especially in my home made tarter sauce. And, the best part is sipping on the brine after the pickles are gone. 😘

I dont like the egg white so I usually chop everything up very fine then I discovered making scrambled eggs in the microwave. I whip the eggs to a froth, add in some cheddar cheese and microwave for 1 minute per egg, stirring every minute, sometimes they set in 4 minutes sometimes it takes 6, then I stir in the mayonnaise, a dab of mustard, some onions and horseradish and crumbled bacon or whatever Im in the mood for, I do have a couple vdos on it, feel free to adapt and share my method if you want
