@@theoneminutebarberthanks dude, I start level 3 on Monday 9th it’s a 36 week course. I’m just freelancing atm as I don’t think I’m ready to be in a barber shop just yet but before Christmas time is my goal to be in a barber shop 50/50 per head or rent a chair. Honestly your videos have helped me an awful lot in many ways I really watch them but of course the more heads I cut & now doing my level 3 I’ll become a lot more confident ❤

Then the weight that you have when you set in the 1&1/2 you can clipper over comb or use texturizing shears right? Also the weight that you created (by weight I mean where you stopped cutting with the 1&1/2) essentially it would be around a 2&1/2-3? Always love your videos you’re the goat!
@theoneminutebarber2 ай бұрын
Thats correct, in this video I haven't touched the top at all, so that would need some attention. The methods you mentioned are all ways to do that although I would be wary of poppers (short hairs that push through the long and puff it up during regrowth) with the thinning scissors.

Can someone explain me something about the click level on the Play clipper? When the level is fully closed(blade only) it's 0.5mm, if i put the #1/2 guard(half guard), which is 1.5mm, but if i want to fade from a #1 guard(3mm), i just move the level 1 click down (1.4mm) right? Since the #1/2 guard is 1.5mm + 1.4mm from moving the level one click = 2.9mm, right?

Is the lever fully open or half way like you said after setting 0 closed, Seems to be fully open from my eyes,thanks if you can confirm.

Please make a slow-motion video on how to fade lines, depicting the correct blade position and angle. I really have a problem with it. Please. Some barbers say you have to use the blade flat on the skin, and some don't and all the videos are to fast to see properly.
@theoneminutebarber2 ай бұрын
it does vary, sometimes if they have the top and bottom blade set very close you need to keep it flat on the head or it will cause an abrasion
@mohammadbehroozi70702 ай бұрын
@@theoneminutebarber Thanks. Could you please make a comprehensive video showing all, or at least most, of the variations?
Sir hope you can answer my question. Is it necessary for a clipper to be zero gap to make a good fade. Cause i find it hard to erase the hardline between no guard close and trimmer area
@theoneminutebarber2 ай бұрын
its not completely essential, you do need to make sure you have a good professional blade though that is quite thin at the end. Otherwise you may need to zero gap
@bleardosmanoviq4361Ай бұрын
hey with what do you remove later one the 4.5 line that u made ?

I must not be watching the same video that the comments are. But I'm sorry that's how they teach to fade at Cosmology school. If your a true barber then u know this needs a lot of work. Too much bulk. Could of at least use thinning shears...sry just true is true

I was thinking the same thing. The kid got butchered. I'm a licensed barber in 2 states, and this looks like quality before I went to barber school (*and I went to barber school thinking I was "pretty good"). I gotta give this guy props for his marketing, branding, and commitment to follow through. It is motivating.
@theoneminutebarber2 ай бұрын
I dont get the comment. I’ve cut a section of a fade. Haven’t touched the top or the back. Simply faded a section? Joe wants to use thinning scissors on it and you think it’s butchered. Now that you’ve come out of barber school with all the answers could you share with me your own video of the correct way to cut something similar.

It can work on other hair types too. More of an issue would be head shape. Probably wouldn’t work too well on a round head
