Thanks Judy :)) I completely understand where your coming from, my nephew has special needs and he hates for anyone to touch his head, and he is also sensitive to noises. He is 27 now and still hates to be shaved.. makes it challenging. I hope this helps you to be able to do your son's hair cuts easier. I will keep an eye out for clippers that are quiet, if I find any I will let you know. Blessings to you & yours, have a great weekend !!!

Have to thank you for this very helpful video! My younger brother needed a cut, couldn't make it to Greatclips, so he asked if I could do it. I was so nervous, having never cut a man's hair (or anyone's but my own.) Nowhere else on YT was it put so well or as understandable as yours, and now I actually feel I could do it again! Many thanks!

Thanks for posting this. I have no background in haircutting and I have to learn how to cut my son's hair because he won't go to a salon because he has special needs. I really appreciate your technique with scissors because he won't tolerate the buzzer either. I have to improvise and do my best to make him look ok.

Wow, thanks Kristi for such an awesome complement !! I will definitely be making more hair cutting video's. I think the graduated hair cut is one of the harder hair cuts to learn. especially since there are so many variations of that cut. The reason you got a hole in your hair cut was, the perimeter over the ear probably got mixed up with the layers and cut with them. which put a hole in the perimeter. I will explain below, I'm running out of room in this comment box ..

oh, I'm so glad to hear it helped her cut his hair.. I try to break it down and make it easy to follow even if your not a hair stylist. Also, I have women's hair on my video list. I just need to line up some models & film it :)) thanks for your comment :))

I just found your channel and being a cosmetology student I love watching your videos, you make it so easy to understand, love watching them &hope you make more and I will continue to watch! Thank you for helping, especially when they are teaching me the same haircuts,ex. graduated bob,why did I get holes on the sides of my manikin?I never was never told, except to try next time to put the sides of the hair over the ears and cut on an angle to avoid the holes?G8 channel, thanks again for ur help:)

ok, once you cut the perimeter and have you angles where you want them, then leave out the first 1 inch above the ear and drop that down.. you can put it in a clip if you need too to keep it out of the way. once you get used to doing this cut you won't have to use the clip anymore & you can continue cutting the rest of the hair cut. once your finished you can take the clips out to make any adjustments you need too. I will point that out the next time I made a video on a graduated bobs :))

Hi Brett, Thanks for watching,.. don't be nervous, just go for it.. ppl are more forgiving while your in school :)) alot of times they don't go over men's cuts enough in cosmetology school. I'm working on more men's hair cutting video's, I just did one tonight I will edit for this week..the model I used has super thick hair which can be challenging, I use product to help control his hair cut, which helps alot. you will pick up some tips from that video also..
