a tip (deriving from cooking the flat pizza in the oven): a light brush of oil on the bottom of the paper to help cooking, first 10 minutes in the lower part of the oven and the last 10 minutes in the upper part.

Me too. All stuck and fell apart. Sad. Not sure how people can post something and I do exactly the same and it just doesn’t work at all. Wonder about consistency as well. How long to you blend? Mine got real thick. Would like to know a better4 description. Oh well, deleting this post.

I am trying this today with green split peas. I have them in the oven, now. I tried using red lentils the other day, and tried pan cooking them. They were a mangled stuck disaster in my non-stick pan. In the oven and on parchment they go from now on! Thanks!

Thx! I made some of the pan cakes earlier this week using quinoa (btw, they were delish.. we both luv'd them!) & had been searching for a recipe for the red lentils, to use in same fashion. You showed how easy it us, & the correct temp to bake (so much better than standing over the stove awhile! I do enough of that!!!). TYVM ❤️

I love this idea too, I have mobility issues and standing at the stove is, well, unpleasant at best. Baking a sheet of these is so much more convenient and I also love the idea of cutting it into 4 squares for my daily veggie rolls instead of using rounds!

@@TheHerbanFarmacy what brand and model is it? I have an old regular blender that isn't good for things like this. One person mentioned to use 2 cups of boiling water with 1 cup of Red Lentils in a standard blender, wait for it to cool down, and it worked. So, maybe I'll give it a try myself. But, I do have to upgrade a few things like this.
@rb67mustang18 күн бұрын
@@TheHerbanFarmacy Oh, I wanted to ask what size sheet pan did you use? I think mine is smaller and the flat bread would be thicker. I'd like to try making some crackers as you mentioned on one of my mixes.

Made this tonight. I use a regular blender so maybe this will help someone. 2 cups boiled water and let it sit in the blender with the lentils until it cools down. Blend and continue per the recipe. Mine came out pretty runny so I baked it an extra 10 minutes. Pretty good but I need to figure out some good spices though because….I’m not really a fan of red lentil flavour 😂
@TheCRYSTALLURE9 ай бұрын
I’ve added turmeric and like some italian, &/or garlic (it was a random mix I did one day but I know I did turmeric😅) to mine before and it gives it a nice Mediterranean or Indian spice flavor!!

I love your idea specially I’m on gluten free diet. Just wanted to make sure if it needs oil spray first and then lentils or no need ?
@TheHerbanFarmacy10 ай бұрын
If you bake it on parchment paper it should not need spray but otherwise yes you will need to use a tiny oil
@dorlimaui56543 ай бұрын
Not true. Mine got stuck and wouldn’t peel off. Ended up with a pile of crumbs. So something is not listed correct with this post. Definitely needs oil. Also do I wait for it to cool all the way or what is the trick?

Love your generosity. the recipe didn't work for me at all. I don't have a high powered blender, just a normal one. I soaked the lentils. the first lot didn't cook enough, and tended to stick to the baking paper, the next lot cooked too much, charring around the edges. what did I do wrong?

Thank you this looks great and efficient for a family or big group! I would prob try soaking the beans for 3 hours first with the water portion you used, then drain (to minimized lectins), then add the amount of water back that was drained and proceed with the recipe. Would Love to see you do one like this for easy Oat flour flat bread (for me want to take to Passover Seder)...i will likely play around tom to hopefully make....Please let me know if you have any tips for using this recipe to do what you did with the lentils: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4mxY6djYpuasKM Thank you, Shalom & God bless you!
