I cannot believe how delicious this turned out. I made it tonight. The slow cooking really does allow the flavors to develop and blend together. Mine came out great despite some substitution of what I had on hand - ketchup instead of tomato paste, almond milk instead of coconut cream, extra curry powder instead of garam masala. Using less milk kept the final consistency thick for me.
@noCRAPplz7 жыл бұрын
Love all the way from India! Loved how you used 'garam masala'. And absolutely loved the recipe!

I am going to have a go at this today. I have to admit, I would usually fry off the onions first and sear the meat a bit (mainly because that's what I've always done with slow cooker recipes) and I think I'll still fry the onions first but I will try doing it like this and see what happens! I'll definitely use less liquid though.

Would adding a cornstarch slurry to thicken up the sauce a little change the flavor? I like a thicker sauce or gravy.
@OnePotChefShow7 жыл бұрын
A little cornstarch wouldn't affect the flavour. Add it in the last 30 minutes of cooking :)

I brown the meat, chicken breast is usually full of water which you'll see evaporate, his end product was quite watery.

Do you think the best option to make the sauce more dense would be to add the water+cornstarch mixture? Either before it finishes cooking or leaving it to cook for a couple more minutes Thanks! I seriously love your recipes and the best part always is when you try what you made and go “mmm” and then laugh ♥️♥️♥️😂

@SriRam-mw4on7 жыл бұрын
Alexander the Ordinary This one pot recipe simple method. But we cooked little effort. We used everything fresh masala and vegs.( no tomato paste and no garam masala). And cooked one by one each ingredient. You can search and get detailed South Indian chicken curry recipe. In India every 100 kms different food culture. Especially South Indian recipe is so different from North Indian recipes.
