I love all of the seasons. They all have something magical to offer. In the winter I love the reflection of the moon on the snow and snuggling by the fire with loved ones to keep warm. Spring is a renewal with the snow melting away and everything in bloom. I love the smell of all the flowers and orange blossoms in the summer, sitting outside during an afternoon thunderstorm. Then there is fall. Everything is getting ready for it's long winters nap. The tress change the skyline with all they magnificent colors and the cooler weather is welcoming after the hot summer. My favorite season is often the season I am in, at least at the beginning of each season. I love the new growth and brightening days of spring, the deep colors, long days and laziness of summer, the golden shades of fall and the permission to curl up with a warm drink, good book and a yarn project that the cool, dark days of winter allow. I love all the seasons. I think I love autumn the most because of all the colors and the harvesting of all the summer vegetables and fruits. I like winter when there is a beautiful silent snowfall on a cold evening, and watching it from inside the snow globe of my house. I like spring for the awakenings and new growth, the vibrant greens and smell of a hyacinth and listening to birds chirping grabs all the senses. And summer, with the long days and the heat and watching the world while sitting on my deck or porch is also a wonderful thing. I think I would still pick autumn with its colors, harvest and cool-down of temps the best.

I love something about all the seasons. Winter, the leaves are gone from the trees, and I can see the mountains in the distance. I am in WNC, and surrounded by trees and nature. Days are getting longer, and morning sun brings birds singing. Even in 18 degrees Fahrenheit, I had robins on my holly tree!
