Very nice Wes, I just told my son two days ago that we need to build a router table for some frames we’re doing. It’s now Sunday morning, and here you are with this great, and simple design that is very portable. You mentioned all dimensions, and went through it like the wind. You are truly a great teacher, and I have learned so much from you in the last several months, since coming back to woodworking after many years. Thank you Sir!

Last week I bought a second router so I can build two of your shaper tables, I bought the second one so that I can just leave my door bits in the routers once adjusted, then I can just cut the pieces to size and run them through without adjusting. I don’t have a shop just my two car garage, so I’m looking at building the router tables using a piano hinge on each leg so that I can fold them out of the way for easy storage. I’ll also have to make a support piece to keep the legs from folding shut during use of the shapers.

Newbie question. What if one built their router table a bit taller and added 2 tops. Meaning the original top you cant use for the door bit has the router removed...then flipped over so it is now on the bottom. The old bottom once flipped becomes the new top with the bigger hole that fits the door bit. Hope you understood what i asked.

Great as always....How different this bit is going to be from a Cove's bit in one of your previous videos when you ran it through the back side of the panel of a shaker door?

Size is the biggest difference. The panel bit is also a cove cut - just much, much larger. Thanks for watching. Wes

Just curious: If you screwed the top to the stand instead of nailing it, couldn't you use the two tops interchangeably with the same stand?

Yes you could. Thanks for watching, Wes

@@WoodworkingWithWes I am really enjoying your channel. I just bought a 1x8x6 plank of poplar and am going to build your coat hook-shelf. Keep ‘em coming.

You have either nailed your hand, or you learned how not to early in life, LOL. I see your hand flare out when you pull the trigger. It never happened to me, but I was taught better by someone with a dozen pin-hole scars on his fingers. I think this is the first build in months I saw without using glue or wood screws. I've been looking for the simplest router table and I think I just found it. Thank you
