So what this video is saying is basically that trap music is placing random notes on piano roll until you like the melody and then listening to random presets until you like the sound. There are also rules of music theory you can follow and ways to program the synthesizer but you don’t have to know that now.

I always get to the point of adding effects or finding the perfect sound and it just gets to where I've heard the loop so many times I can't think of anything other than the loop. It can be very frustrating

There's a better way to half speed in gross beat than the initial half speed preset. Do it it every box in the first row hallway down the boxes. Personally I think it's a little more accurate. Definitely try both ways tho because I sometimes use the initial preset to. For some reason the other way just sounds more accurate on most melodies. Anyone else notice this? I think the first person I seen do it was Nick Mira.
