Nice summary, and it will improve quite a lot the tune. But I believe tuning FF it's also quite important. And improving the filtering. I hope you do a second part!

Thanks! It really will! 😁 I will make a tuning guide for FF and item at some point.

Hey, I've a bit different question and maybe you can help me. My Flywoo Flylens 85 is draining battery like a hell. Usually current consumption is over 10A up to 30A. I was looking on youtube several reviews and usually people get 8- 9A. Do you have any idea what can cause that and where to look for solution?
@RaukFPV10 ай бұрын
Would have to look into it a bit more before I can say for sure what is happening. Just of the top of my head there could be several things. Made a list of my thoughts 1. The esc voltage reading is not properly calibrated. 2. They might be hovering more. 3. A change in altitude might make the drone have to work harder to keep itself in the air. (If you are at high altitudes) 4. If there's any wind the small drone will have to fight more to be stable. If you have a video, i can take a look. You can also message me on discord. @raukael Alternatively, Joshua bardwell is also really helpful with these things

Hello, nice video. I like your style. I now follow ed several tuning guide and they all use pidtoolbox and boxplorer. But most of them just Start with d gain and leave the Tracking aside. And at the end. Do you need dynamic dampening? Or just if you have a dynamic filter!? Thanks again and pls continue.
@RaukFPV10 ай бұрын
Thank you very much i appreciate it! ive seen a few others as well, the only reason i start with tracking slider is that it have worked very well for me. i felt it was harder to get the tune right starting with the d gain. its basically the ratio between the p/d we are working on at first, as i turn off the i gains while finding the balance. i dont use dynamic dampening, i just leave it off. and it not needed for dynamic filtering either. again thanks for watching :D

So how do I know what rc link preset to choose for elrs? I left mine stock cuz idk and haven't been able to find an answer yet
@RaukFPV Жыл бұрын
On your radio you should go i to the elrs menu, in the menu look for where it says packet rate. Not sure what the stock rate is. But I recommend either 250hz or F500. Let me know how it goes :)

After playing with tracking you set Driftwobble to 0,8 but said nothing about this step before you play with the master. That is the point i didnt understand 😮
@RaukFPV9 ай бұрын
while finding the balance between p and d i set the drift wobble to 0. So it doesn't interfere with the balance.
@gerki_fpv9 ай бұрын
@@RaukFPV so your way is Tracking, Driftwobble and after that Master Multi? Tuning in this 3 Steps?
@RaukFPV9 ай бұрын
oh, i see i made a mistake when recording the video. sorry for that. I set the drift wobble slider to 0.8 after i tuned the master multiplayer, to sum it up, pd balance, then mastermultipler, then the driftwobble to 0.8 .
@gerki_fpv9 ай бұрын
@@RaukFPV 😀. Why you start with tracking? Most guides start with damping, is there a advantage? Did you determined drift wobble also with a measurment series? My problem is often the curves are fine until i start to play with drift wobble in the last step.
@RaukFPV9 ай бұрын
its a good question, for my builds i've often found that i needed a higher P in balance to D, so its mostly just preference. and as i turn off I term, it doesn't matter to much. all my builds works with drift wobble set to 0.8. it seems the i-term has a pretty wide tuning window. what problems are you getting when playing with drift wobble?

those rates on the ending.. is that really your rates? i know i should be learning this stuff since my motor or ESC is making some kind og weak flute sound... not that much, but i can hear it. i dont know if its coming from pid tunes or ESC.. i got it build for me an AOS 5.5 V2 with dji O3 and xing 2 2306 1755kw motors.. but, the ESC on the drone was some chinese shit.. and the rest of the drone was pretty premium :P is it dangerous to fly around with some little flute sound from motors\esc? i think it flies pretty fast. i flashed it once to BLUEJAY and after that it went bananas.. it just staretd floating upwards and i had to disarm it from the sky.. everytime i tried it my heartrate went up so i deleted all and did factory reset on the ESC and after that i have been very afraid of messing with the ESC, ive played around with the KARATE 5" preset and increasing the master multiplier up and down... it feels like a totally new quad with that up 1.3 or over. but, since i am notice that flute sound even at 1.1 and 1.6 .. same sound doesnt really matter. motors are never hot... so i dont think it is coming from that tune, but something else.. =P

Hey, yes my current rates are 30 430 0.3 in pitch and roll, while yaw is 30 380 0.3, been playing a lot around with them but these seem to fit my style of flying the most. not sure what you mean by flute sound, i would like to help you, do you know what esc you've got in there? and also, when flashing bluejay, did you go with the 48khz. and did you enable bidirectional dshot? ideally you want to set everything to default flash bluejay, enable bi-directional dshot and go out for a rip, see if it flies away. Also if you want you can hit me up on discord @ Rauk#5348 id be happy to help there And lastly thanks for watching! :D

I can set it up with FF gains, D max and I gains disabled. But as soon as they are back in place, everything becomes unstable again. Couldn't fix it, sadly

@@RaukFPV Thanks for the advice! I have a very strange situation, in addition to the problem described above, there is also a difference in the PID graphs, depending on whether the battery is full or already discharged. This small but powerful 3" quad is driving me crazy.
@RaukFPV Жыл бұрын
The pids Will react a bit different depending on your battery charge. As the voltage goes down the motors becomes less powerful and therefore the pids will react a bit different.

how easy tune in no BB
@RaukFPV Жыл бұрын
It can be done. But not as effective, or nearly as good. If you want to do it without BB, you could try with the DVR and listening very carefully. But be sure to check motor temps a lot to not kill your ESC or motors.
