My dad had a pub. He would know how much certain people had drunk and tell them to go home, they’d had enough. If they didn’t like it tough. They weren’t getting any more alcohol from his pub. Nowadays, people aren’t stopped. Dad would even get them to hand car keys over, they could pick them up the next day. It’s surprising how many people actually did this and would go home when told. It’s about learning that thing called respect, for the landlord/drinks server and mostly for themselves. I know this isn’t plane related, but if they are drinking at the airport then the same, no more drinks, applies.

I have been saying now to other people i know that alcoholic drinks should not be available to buy at Airports or on board airplanes altogether. And if a passenger turns up at the airport to catch a flight and is already drunk on arrival at the airport, then that drunk person should be disallowed to travel. This should be made a mandatory Law (No exceptions) to protect the flight crew & other passengers who aren't drunk from disruptive passengers who pose a serious danger to everyone else on the aircraft during flight. If certain people can't hand their drink, then they shouldn't drink alcohol at all. Non-alcoholic drinks are fine though. Disruptive & drunk passengers should also be banned from the airline for life as well. It's a damn shame that we even have to put up with this crap in the first place. Most of these people are grown adults who are old enough to know better. I will never ever board an airplane drunk because it is just stupid and completely irresponsible. And also i very rarely drink alcohol now anyway. But when i do drink alcohol im responsible with it because i have a brain & actually use it as well. Unlike some people, who are complete idiots.
