I have had similar issues with one particular laptop,a Toshiba Satellite A135 Series. I have tried using the recovery disk to try and revive it,but I get the media test failure as you have shown is common on some computers. But upon attempts to boot up regularly,I also get the bootmgr missing error. Which tells me it could possibly be the motherboard on this guy,possibly. Or,it could also be a result of a hard drive crash,and the hard drive would need to be replaced. I have an old Lenovo T430S series computer that work gave me a few years ago,and it works like a champ. And these have solid state drives,which are actually more efficient. So if it is the hard drive,I may go find a solid state drive to put in and see if that fixes the issue. I think you are likely correct to check for loose cables and/or connections first before doing anything further. So here is hoping. The laptop itself is in great shape,and the battery seems to still hold a charge even after 10 years which is pretty impressive in and of itself because a lot of computers from that time frame would be dead by now. But I gotta say,these Lenovo laptops are workhorses. They last.for the most part. Of every computer I have owned,the Lenovo Think Pad 430 S series has had the best audio to this point. I use a Dell while at work,but that one has had some issues,like constantly freezing,and WiFi always cuts in and out,which rarely happens on this Lenovo.

I tried to install lubuntu by using Unetbootin on windows 10. I created a partition of 10 GB for that. Remaining memory in C drive was around 25 gb. When I boot my laptop, I selected Unetbootin to install Lubantu, when it asked for partition, I selected that created 10gb. Then it said that all data will be erased from selected drive. I pressed ok. Installation begun, but failed afted sometime. When I restart pc it says that this is not a bootable device. Insert bootable disk. I tried to reinstall windows by using bootable DVD, but I get the same error massage. Please tell me the solution.
