If your Acer Computer is stuck in a No Boot Device, Bootable Device Not Found, No Bootable Device error or other boot up issues, this video will help. Please note, this can also be caused by a loose HDD. Try unplugging it and plugging it back in! Check out the FAQ's or message me of you need help!

A: Changing those settings in BIOS will not delete any data from your hard drive :)
Q: I cant find the Fn Key to enter BIOS.
A: Some models use different keys so you will have to try them all :( Also, some models require you to hold the Fn Key at the same time your pressing the Function key. Also, some viewers have reported F12 as the needed key. You may have to doublecheck if your Boot Key is disables as well. If so, you will have to enable it.
Q: It says I can’t enable the legacy option ROMS with PTT enabled
A: Go into the Security Tab and try to Disable PTT Security. If that does not work, then skip that step, and continue with the rest of the video. If you cannot locate the options to switch between or if switching does not work, then skip that step and continue with the rest of the video :)

@THE VIDEOGRAPHY PRODUCTIONS After a liquid spill, you want to first make sure the computer is 100% dry. You would turn your computer off immediately by pressing and holding the power button until the computer turns off. Then you would disassemble the computer as much as your comfortable with, at least trying to remove the bottom case. Then you would turn it on its side and let dry for a couple days. Have you done this yet or are you sure the computer is dry?

Only problem is on the boot screen when I try to switch "boot mode" from "UEFI" to "legacy"... there is only "UEFI" and no other options. I'm unsure what to do as my error message is still there. Thank-you for this! I was panicking because I turned on my laptop yesterday and got the 'no bootable device' message. After messing around with the settings (I had no UEFI or Legacy option) I've managed to repair it by playing with the 'enable/disable' settings in the 'security tab'. Not sure how it worked, but it did. Thanks for your help, I would never have known what to do without you and I live very rurally so taking it to a tech would have sucked!!

I just know that I went into the security tab and messed around with things (always making a note of the settings beforehand so I knew what did and didn't work). After about 10-15 attempts and restarts it worked. I've heard repeatedly restarting the laptop can also sort it, but I'm no expert. Sorry I can't be of more hekp. I hope you get the problem fixed.

Look for UEFI in the boot tab... My BIOS on my ancient H55 mother board doesn't show boot configuration. But shows UEFI with an enable or disable option. I set it to enable and it worked.

Sometimes Legacy is set as CSM. Can you see CSM? If you cannot locate the options to switch between or if switching does not work, then skip that step and continue with the rest of the video :)

@@tsuki7673 Some Acer models use different function keys. Try the others. If you cannot locate the options to switch between or if switching does not work, then skip that step and try to reinstall Windows as seen here; kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHrPiGefopKnqJY​. You can create your own Windows Install Media as seen here; kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZC4mZx-iMiUias​. If the install fails, it could be due to a bad Hard Drive. Replace it as seen here; kzbin.info/www/bejne/qn_TZn6YpJ6ofsk​. Then you would have to install Windows onto the new one.

All BIOS are different. Some require you to use the tab keys, arrow keys, etc. If you cannot find anything that works, try an external keyboard or mouse :)

@@PC_Monkey omg. This thing keeps doing this and now it is having issues even giving me a screen when I try to restart. This all just started happening after I downloaded WOW to play on this laptop. It’s an acer that my son added memory to and also swapped to a SSD drive. Haven’t had any issues whatsoever till this. Any suggestions to get it back to a bootable/readable screen? If I can get it restarted I will run system check and delete the game. Thanks

Oh my!! THANK GOD IT WORKS!! 😭🙏🏻✨ THANK YOU SO MUCH! The first one didn't fixed it but still followed the next one and then it was fixed 😭🙏🏻✨. I spent money to ugprade this laptop months ago and then after not being able to use it for a while that seems eternity (2/3months maybe?), it suddenly says "no bootable device" when I started it.
