I love your videos - they are common sense that isn't always common. I know I've said so before, but it's still true. :) You explain things so well. Merci, Lucie!

Eating indulgent foods in moderation also allows one to spring for better quality. Next level treat foods are yet another thing I envy about France.

Great foods for thought!!! - I know of people who indulge their inner child by having a child's size portion of the binge type foods.

You have no idea how your videos have influenced me. Working towards a positive relationship with food from the past 2 weeks. I clearly feel better. I binge ate once though🙈. But definitely not as bad as before. Working towards a better lifestyle. Thanks a lot Lucie!! Keep going with your valuable content. Waiting for more of your mom videos😄. May be day in the life of mom🩷

I've been both my heaviest and my lightest on a whole food, vegetarian diet over the course of many years. It is so much more complex but I recognize my experience is different due to the low prevalence of very long term vegetarians and vegans in the general population.

I wouldn't eat if you are not hungry. Just eat enough protein with dinner to help with muscle recovery.

There's no need to eat if you aren't hungry, just make sure you're getting enough calories and protein throughout the day ☺

Should there be a focus on high protein at all meals and snacks in order to feel satisfied? X

Not necessarily, protein is satiating yes, but you need the all the macros in sufficient quantities to feel satisfied!

I'm sorry but it's a cliche and a dangerous one to advise people to keep eating junk/treat food "in moderation". Very few people can do moderation, that's why they're overweight or watching this video, and you yourself have explained that these foods are addicting, due to the fat, sugar and also salt content. Just as alcoholics need to abstain from alcohol, food addicts will need to abstain from trigger foods, at least for 6 months, possibly for much longer or even forever, it's a small price to pay to avoid triggering a binge. If you eat your wholefoods (fruit, veggies, mushrooms, potatoes, sweet potatoes, legumes and wholegrains), you are nourished and satisfied, and there shouldn't be any need to eat junk/treats, snack between meals or graze throughout the day - calories are still important and will add up. Just eat 3 good healthy meals a day and gradually food cravings and obsession will disappear. A whole plant food way of eating helped me lose a lot of weight 4 years ago and maintain my slim weight, I would recommend pcrm and Chef AJ YT channels, all non-profit and run by professionals in their field. They (and I) do not recommend eating animal foods, especially if not organic and ethically raised.

I think this depends very much on the situation: For someone who has had an unhealthy diet and is trying to eat more mindful, avoiding unhealthy foods for a while, until they start to enjoy/crave healthier options is very important. However, for someone who regularly eats a lot of fruits & vegetables and other healthy foods, and also works out regularly: if this type of person listen to their body and offer it a small portion of unhealthy food (like french fries, icecream - the regular junkfood): first of all, their body would react badly if eating too much, and second, it wouldn't have a big impact on their overall health. My point is: eat healthy, exercise and listen to your body 😀 have a beautiful day!
