Just wanted to share my experience. I was diagnosed with diabetes last August and from then on I kept sugar free organic peanut butter as part of my snack and breakfast, together with walking and healthy diet. My A1C went down from 10.3 to 6.4 in three months. I am happy that Doc recommends it because peanut butter (sugar free) helped me bounce back after losing a lot of weight due to diabetes. My next goal is to bring my A1C down to 5.7 with healthy diet and lifestyle. Sugar free peanut butter is a lifesaver for me. Before I forget, I use Keto bread with peanut butter as a snack. It doesn’t shoot up my blood glucose. Thanks.

1:59 Are you sure. I read online Macadamia nuts are the most fatty nuts out of all. But your video just caught my eyes, I am a pre diabetic and while intermittent fasting sometimes but rarely if I feel hungry I snack roasted peanut. Sometimes I pick up raw shelled peanuts from grocery stores and love eating those soft nuts.
@SugarMDs2 ай бұрын
Macadamia nuts do indeed have one of the highest fat contents among nuts, but it’s mostly healthy monounsaturated fat, which can be beneficial for heart health and managing blood sugar. For prediabetics, nuts like macadamias, almonds, and walnuts are often recommended because they have a low glycemic impact and are rich in healthy fats, which help keep you full. Peanuts, especially in their raw or roasted forms, can also be a good snack in moderation. They have protein and healthy fats, but it’s best to watch portion sizes, as they can be calorie-dense. If they work well for you during fasting and keep your hunger at bay without spiking blood sugar, that’s a good sign. Always good to listen to your body and choose snacks that align with your goals!

@@davidandrews8007 Not easy divorcing Sweets, Tony was not our friend ladies and gentlemen. All these bloody companies as the bodies of Government look the other way, HAVE ADDICTED US. So, when Tony says, "IT'S GREAT" he's talking about the many decades of profit they will derive from us. I was hated in my house because I would only bring Sugarless cereals home; wife and kids considered this torture.

Excellent! My roomie in college was Muslim and her Mom always sent us a box of dried fruits and nuts for Eid which she generously shared with her roomies.

I have been eating peanuts daily for about two years. I am 78 years old and in generally good health. I am concerned that I'm eating too many peanuts each day. I'm concerned undigested peanuts are accumulating in my stomach. Is this possible? I hope I can continue eating peanuts because they taste good and are low in carbohydrates compared to most other snacks. Thank you for your video.

Great to hear. My go to snack for quite a while. Took a break when needing some teeth fixed. What is a safe amount, because they can be addicting? In shell speaking. Keto wise, only suggest a hand full. Hand facing up gets twice as many as hand facing down.

What about those prepared peanuts sold in the cans in the pharmacies, some of them salted and unsalted. Can they not be used?

Having changed my health thru dietary and lifestyle changes, I am always amazed at the multitude of differing opinions and suggestions of foods that are helpful and harmful to those who are trying to alter their metabolism thru dietary changes. I follow a low carb, ketogenic diet as the biggest modifier of my health. At the same time, I still ingest peanuts and peanut butter. If I was to listen to Dr. Steven Gundry, I would be avoiding peanuts because of the plant lectins and their involvement with leaky gut production. I will still eat peanuts.

Note that unshelled peanuts (legumes, not nuts) are often dessicated with glyphosate.

Love your take on things like glimepiride, moringa, and now peanuts! You and I may not see eye-to-eye on fat, but nice to see we can agree on a lot of things. I'm afraid the curse of Ancel Keys has been living on since the 1950s. If anybody is interested in that sort of the thing, an April 7th, 2016 article by 'The Guardian' called 'The Sugar Conspiracy' by Ian Leslie is an excellent place to start!
