I've gone to The Breakfast Nook several times and I don't think I've ever ordered off of their main menu. Their specials are always outstanding and the toasted muffin is a must! Downside is definitely how packed it is and the service can get lost in places where they are rotating so fast, but I will always speak up and say something when I need to.

As an ex server.. I just gotta say. Whether you are in the back of house for a moment or you are attending to other guests it can often be impossible to know which table in your section was seated first.. Sometimes you just go with your gut on who looks ready. Make sure each table has water at the same time. Take both orders at the same time also before heading back. It sounded like she left the table and came straight to Daym which was the right move. Now if she had taken the other tables order then proceeded to bring the ticket to the kitchen before returning to get dayms order. That would be worse. But as is; I think he was a bit rough on the service for that one.

Nahh, you’re forgetting Daym lives in the NE which is a hugely racist area toward those of color, especially in “nicer” restaurants like this. I served for over 10 years, in small, fine dining as well as large scale family style joints and you know exactly when you’re sat. If you don’t, you’re not meant to be a server, and have little attention to detail.

Whenever you get down to Virginia you gotta go to Pancakes N Things in Chesapeake,VA it’s such a great place they have all day breakfast, amazing lunch and dinner options Greek Style restaurant and unless anything has changed the owner and manager are from Greece

The place I love out in Utah, is Sill's Cafe. Fast service. good servers & always packed for breakfast. Get what you can if you can. I usually get a side of bacon/french toast, which is made with Texas Toast. The scones & honey butter will win you over.

Daym Drops, I don’t know it you’ve ever tried Haitian 🇭🇹 food before, but I would love for you to try this Haitian restaurant in New York called Zanmi meaning “Friends” in English. I promise you, try the black rice with shrimp and the griot which is fried pork, the conch, and their fried fish. You won’t be disappointed!!! I’m a huge fan! Much love 💕

You missed the wait lines that are there almost every Saturday and Sunday. They have a huge base of college students as customers, as Quinnipiac University's Medical campus is just down the street. They have a big group of staple customers that have become more family over the years. The owner started there as a waitress several years ago, when opportunity presented itself, she purchased the restaurant. She has turned it into a must go to place in the area.

Man I wish you'd tasted the sausage links, those things looked great! You've gotta try The Little Cake Cafe in Newington for another good breakfast, I had a fantastic one there a while back. Also recommend The Tea Kettle in Old Saybrook for the waffles!

The Tea Kettle is great! Drive a little further and check out When Pigs Fly, in Waterford CT. My personal favorite spot for breakfast. You won't regret it. Kitchen Little, in Mystic, is another great breakfast spot; but in my opinion, not quite as good as When Pigs Fly. Still, definitely worth checking out as well. 👍😊👍

For the service issue speaking of someone who was a waitress if you don’t have time to just sit around and STARE at your section normally if two tables are sat back to back you have NO idea who got sat first. The hostesses don’t tell you. Hopefully you didn’t count that into the tip especially since busy

Ambience is absolutely valid for reviewing an establishment. I can't enjoy my meal if the place is bangin' loud and I avoid places like that. I want to enjoy my companions and have a chat during a meal, not listen to noise.
