Hey Rockstar, what you are eating is "Local" food from Hawaii but it's not Hawaiian food. Those are local foods that you would find all around Hawaii at Zippy's or local restaurants. Hawaiian food consists of things like laulau, kalua pig, squid luau, haupia, kulolo, poi, lomi lomi salmon, etc. There is a big difference. Nevertheless, it was a great review and if I want some local style food when I am in Vegas, I'll be sure to stop by and check it out. I wish they did a mac salad because almost all of those plate would come with mac salad here in Hawaii.

Love that place. I’ve been going there for years. The owners are so amazing. I’ve had almost EVERYTHING on the menu and it’s ALL ono (delicious). My favorites are the pinakbet (Filipino dish made of vegetables) and mochiko chicken. I drive 30 minutes for their yummy food. Must try!

Left J's IS my go-to spot near Fremont St Experience downtown Vegas. Best Hawaiian home food and ridiculously LOW prices. Meats are flavorful with charred skin. MMMMmmmmmm!!!!

In korea there was no such things as meat jun. There vegetables jun and fish jun in korea. Meat jun was created in hawaii by the grandma of kim chee restaurant. My favorite meat jun is from kim chee 3 in moiliili Honolulu hawaii. That's the history of meat jun.

Hawaiian food is one of the best, they have excellent menus. The Hawaiian rice is a classic. Great , delicious 😋 The menus at this particular restaurant is well priced..Lefty J is worth checking out while in Vegas.

Lefty J's is our favorite place. We don't live close so we don't go as often as we'd like. One thing you should remember is the foods you ate that you're saying is Hawaiian isn't technically "Hawaiian" food. It's local fusion food from Hawaii.. you should try some authentic Hawaiian food next time.. so you know what that is. 😁

Went to both Baekjoeng and Ahgassi Gopchang based on your recommendation, loved both. As a thai your recommendations is also on point, I also suggest Yai Restaurant for very authentic thai food. But the last time I went to San Pedro Fish Market I wasn't very impressed. Keep up the good work for us locals. Also you really need to head to San Jose when you have the time, the Vietnamese food there is pretty amazing. If you're ever in town try Bo Ne Phu Yen, and their Bo Ne which is basically their variation of steak & eggs on a hotplate.

First of all,meat Jun did not originate in Korea,the family that created the dish is from Korea and brought it to Hawaii. They the restaurant chain cakes Kim chee 1,2 and 3. It was the grandma that use to make it for her kids.

Sorry, Lefty is incorrect on Meat Jun. It originated in Hawaii in the late 70s at the Kim Chee Restaurant (at the top of the hill on Waialae Ave. in Kaimuki).

Meat Jun was introduced in Hawaii from a local Korean business owner of Kim chee #1. It originated in Korea as a fritter style and Hawaii introduced meat jun in Hawaii as sliced meat.
