I'm trying to lose 50 lbs. I have non-invasive bladder cancer. I snack on mandarin oranges. Citrus is anti cancer along with green tea and other food items. I wonder when you got the rash and sick if that didn't turn your system upside down. Time will heal you. You are on the right track. What we eat is so important.

Hey Al & Shiloh!!! 👋 Really good to see you, hope the kiddo's are doing great. :) Hey I was wondering if ya'll are wanting to eat healthy and all if putting in a small veggie garden 🥒🫑🍅🥬might be something that you would consider doing as a family and you could get the kids involved. Watching some seeds sprouting and growing, then doing a lil harvesting and food prep. Would be a great way to introduce the kids to something new and they could take an active part in. You could also do a butterfly garden for the little ones to watch the butterfly's 🦋🐞🐝come to flowers 🌻🌻that they plant from seeds🌱. Wouldn't need to be anything huge, just some zinnias or whatever. Just an idea that I thought I would put out there, more quality time with the kiddo's, learning where the veggies come from, how they grow, time outside in the clean air and sunshine. I know I always felt better when I was out puttering around in my gardens, great way to spend some time getting grounded and meditating too. Blessings to you all.

Never liked salmon until my son made it for us. Put tinfoil on tray, place fresh asparagus, put salmon on top and then placed sliced lemon. Sprinkle salt, pepper and dill. Put several pats of butter around fish. Wrap it all up with the tinfoil and bake in 350 oven for about 15-20 minutes depending on thickness of salmon. When the fish flakes apart with fork, it’s done. It’s so good seeing you both supporting each other. You can do it!

So many good things ... I'm sure you already know salmon is one of thee best things you can put in your body; it's a whole body/brain food. I make a point of eating a lot of salmon, blueberries and avocado. Teriyaki (& hoisin) sauces are often part of the sauce I use on quick salmon prep before I bake, grill or broil it. It's already a perfect food so it doesn't take much to be delish. Hope you love the salmon. Kudos on your pursuits!

I stumbled on your channel back in September and been watching ever since. You remind me of my son, and even look like him too!😊 I love that you're doing this together, there's strength in numbers. Salmon is really delicious and good for you, but be warned-without proper preparation, it will release a strong fishy smell in your house that will last for days.🐟 You want to soak it in milk for about 20-30 minutes before you cook it and try not to disturb it during cooking--just flip it once. Without the milk bath, oxidation causes the breakdown of the fatty acids into strong-smelling aldehydes causing the odor, and do not save the milk lol. Hope you enjoy it and good luck on the challenge.🏆🥇

Kale can be a bit bitter but it is great in a smoothie, substituted for spinach in lasagna, etc. If you like pizza, get a white fish, put it in a baking pan, cover with tomato sauce, crumble dried kale on it and add some Italian spices like oregano, basil, thyme, or whatever you like. Bake covers with foil for about 30 minutes then uncover and sprinkle Parmesan or Mozzarella and bake a few more minutes until melted. The fish is very healthy but tastes like pizza.

Al, I have never commented before, but feel compelled to now. I' old enough to be your grandma. But, I still know exactly what you are going through. I was in my early 30's when it started with me. Anxiety & Depression. They almost always go hand in hand. This dark cloud seemed to come out of no where. It hit me hard. I didn't know what was wrong. People at my church and family couldn't understand it. They would say I had everything to be happy about. A good marriage. Two sweet kids. A beautiful home. And I had The Lord. Still...it was real. And it wasn't going away. I had every test in the book. Nothing was wrong. Oh, by the way, I was a nurse. Logically and rationally...there was no reason for it. My world got smaller and smaller. I became home bound. I eventually checked myself in a psych ward at our hospital. I got a wonderful psychiatrist. And my work began. You can't avoid panic attacks, depression and anxiety. They are there for a reason. Your mind wants healing. Getting enough sleep and exercise and eating well helps. But it does not heal it. It is your mind. Imagine a garbage can. You keep stuffing garbage in it. Finally it overflows onto the ground. That is where you are now. The only way to get healed is to go through it. Working with your counselor. Working back through the years. To the point where your mind wants healing. It does work. You will get better. You won't be the same as before. But you will be stronger. God will be at your side the whole time. And when you come out on the otherside whole and healthy, you can show the same love and compassion to others that God showed to you.
@daisy71419 ай бұрын
In 1972 in my late 20s, my deep depression came just out of the blue. I couldn't see a real reason for it. I couldn't get out of it. I was treated, but it didn't help, the meds didn't help either. Then I met my husband. We got married. He made me throw my meds away and my depression subsided. It's funny what helps different people. I'm sure the meds today are different, but I don't know for sure. I've never taken them, and don't need them.
@sherryw19199 ай бұрын
Actually, Al knows I've dealt with depression, anxiety & PTSD for a long time & I WAS able to stop panic attacks & I wasn't even getting therapy, yet I did a lot of research & learned how to do it & was successful. Ever grateful. If I can accomplish that, it must also be a possibility for others. The point is it can be done & you shouldn't say they can't be stopped without getting totally through some long path of therapy etc. I was just beginning my very heavy long road & didn't have to travel through as you inSist. PLEASE if you're not a medical doctor, don't say things like that bc it's wholly inaccurate; as a freaking Nurse you should know better than to say something YOU were not able to stop cannot be stopped in different ways by others. And I didn't have the kind of panic attacks where you 'think' you're going to die -- I had the kind where I _knew_ I was about to die & just didn't know where it was coming from. Debilitating. Don't tell him things that are not medically proven; you can only speak to your own experience. I can't believe you said that as a nurse! It's very possible he could do what I did, but he has the added help of a learn-ed MD. Don't speak like a Doctor if you aren't one period. Luckily he already has one.

Hi Al, I just caught your Feb 6 blog today and went grocery shopping with you and your beautiful wife. Funny thing is I just went shopping a couple days ago and bought almost all the same stuff at Publix. Minus the pork rinds. Lol I bought (bogo) a plant based butter and sour cream along with my PB milk. Not sure if you know about all the dairy products that can be eaten in plant base and it all taste good to me. This year like you, I am determined to start eating healthy to feel better mentally and physically too. I read Success through a positive mental attitude (also own the purple gift bag it came in, coincidence), when I was younger and one of my very first self help books. It's older than me, lol. I always felt you have so much love and positiveness in you already and it's nice to see you taking care of yourself more now. I started watching you a year ago and thought you were one and only in what you do but have since been suggested other videos but you the man and I'm subscribed and enjoy watching you and your family sharing your strive for happiness and helping others do the same. I have a great niece & nephew same age as your babies. Thank you and wishing you and yours continued wellness and happiness. Can't wait for Spring to get back out in my yard, mowing, trimming and planting my seeds! My meditation! Renee'

🦋 you can make that cherry juice go along way you fill the glass up with 1/4 full and then the rest of the way with just water. And it still taste really strong but you don’t wanna load up on the sugar. And if you buy juice for the kids you can get juicy juice it’s 100% juice and you can do the same thing just start watering it down. Or you can make it more like soda for them. I put in 1/4 cup juice and fill The rest up with seltzer. And I just heard you say that you’re not crazy about Sam and I also I’m not crazy about salmon, so I always make sure that I sera it in a frying pan to get that so the grill flavor and then I add lemon slices, garlic and spaceship cherry tomatoes. Helps to cut that fish taste out a little bit.
