Curry on rice and I'm in heaven. Nasi ganja is totally worth travelling by train from KL. For anyone that wants to try Nasi Ganja and you see there is a long line and the restaurant is full, don't worry. You can go to Kedai Sama Sama Kaya just a few shops away on the same block. You just order drinks from them and they can order Nasi Ganja from Kedai Kopi Yong Suan for you.

Watching him savoring every bite, explaining the multi dimensions and the explosions of flavors he's experiencing will make your mouth water, and then you will want the food, and then you realize you have to go to each and every country to eat the food, and then you cry in the corner of your room because you can't have the food, but then you can't stop watching his videos, and then get hungry again and again. 😭😭😭 What a cruel, cruel man.. 😍 Love your videos! Hello Max! Been a while, and what an extraordnary surprise to came back to ... you are getting very close to the 100k threshold! You are doing a swell job, you soon shall be there. So, Ipoh. Honestly I thought the Ipoh white coffee would be a lot whiter than your mugful there because, well, it's called white. :p I know you tasted (or imagined) "chocolate" in it, but could you actually taste the palm margarine in it? Sounds like bulletproof coffee to me and I'd surely give it a try if I go to Malaysia. Now on to those silky smooth hor fun noodles. Word has it that Ipoh hor fun is made with unfiltered spring water which gives it that distinct sleek goodness. We know, the soup fell short of your expectations (it's wanting in prawns) but can you confirm the quality of the noodles? You've got a funny way of eating skewered food, just stick it into your mouth. Goes to show how young you are and unafraid to stab your palate :) And yes, peanut sauce makes everything better, even burgers when I still ate them. Nasi ganja has such a nice ring to it, and judging from the way you described the flavors, must be really addictive. Thanks for the vivid description, you know we rely on you for that, us naive people otherwise known as the Max Ganjas. :) Strange that the bean sprouts were in a separate plate from the chicken. I thought they would be together. Are they mung bean sprouts? Hogwarts. Now we know you are a Harry Potter Fan. My favorites from this vlog, as usual were the sweet treats: the caramel egg custard, the tau fu fah, and the kaya puff (did they let you in on their little secret as to what that caramelly filling is made of?). Excellent work, Max, and still getting even better!
@Macoi245 жыл бұрын
The filling of the Kaya puff is the actual kaya! Haha how could I not be, my mother is an avid HP fan. Yes, they are the mung beans and some of the best I have ever had! Yeah, the coffee had been cut with so much margarine and sugar that it resembled more of a hot chocolate to me than actual coffee. However, I am usually a black coffee drinker so that could be why, ha. Really great to have you back. Hoping you have been doing well!
@MakiKinder5 жыл бұрын
@@Macoi24 A little bird told me Sin Eng Heong kaya paste is not your ordinary coconut jam, there's some recipe the family keeps secret. :) Black coffee's your poison. I prefer my coffee black too; dripped when at home and double espresso when I have the luxury to drink out.

Popiah in Taiping is very good too. I can't remember the name of the place, but it's beside a bank. And the cendol is great too. That shop in the side of the building.

I feel like I am a fake Malaysian if compare to u lol. Can’t wait to watch your other series, es Vietnam 🇻🇳 I only been once during college trip. Planning to go again. Your channel is definitely an important tool for my future travelling tips. Wait, u speak in mandarin too? (In Penang u said u usually having yoo tiao with soya milk in China and during mlk video I heard mandarin conversation with the dim sum auntie 🧐... I tot it was someone else )
