macho tony thank you thank you! Yes we have made friends with most of the people that work at Whole Foods and also at our local co-op where we get the bulk of our food! They've all commented on how great it is that we get so much fresh produce! It's always a great entry point to talk more about eating plant-based! We love the way it makes us feel! 😊

I began switching to a WFPB lifestyle three weeks ago. I'm trying out new recipes in an effort to find 10 meals I can rotate for dinner. My daughter and husband are eating what I fix. Lunches and breakfasts are different. I get so full eating salads and potatoes but it gets boring and the salads are labor intensive. I'm still adjusting. My stomach is jammed full of dinner of a WFPB recipe. I definitely need more non starchy choices in my day.

Great video. You mentioned that you rarely juice carrots. Is that for health reasons, or do you just not like carrot juice? Asking because we love carrot juice and often have it with lemon and apple for breakfast. Thanks!

We typically just make green juice when we do juice, but for the most part we just make smoothies! No reason other than that! Sounds like a tasty juice combo, though! Thanks for asking!!😉

SnakeBytee this was $250. We buy all organic, though, and eat all of our meals at home. GOD is Love 1 John 4:16 you can cut cost a fair bit if on a budget! I hit farmers markets at the end of the day when they tend to slash prices. Some grocery chains will either give away or reduce bananas if you call ahead (I got 10lbs at 33¢ a lbs two weeks ago) I just freeze them for smoothies, breads, or ice cream. Here we don't have the variety they do so it's not as wonderful but do able. Spend 75$ a week for 2 of us. If you have u pick farms those are awesome as well! I get berries, peaches, apples, and veggies for cheaper and just freeze, make sauces, and can.

Great hall guys! Just curious how much a typical Whole foods haul like that costs in the US? Being from the UK it can be quite high!
@EatMoveRest
@EatMoveRest 7 жыл бұрын
A haul like this ranges from $200-$250 for us, also keeping in mind we choose to buy all organic! We can safely justify this by fixing almost all of our meals at home and we rarely go out to eat. On top of that, we have no medical bills or prescription expenses! Ultimately, feeling amazing outweighs any negatives with cost! 😉 Hope this helps!!

Rrenea H good catch! I didn't even realize I forgot to mention my use of plastic bags and re-usable! I tend to use the mesh bags for dry foods like oranges, apples, potatoes, peppers, etc and only use the plastic bags for my greens that are constantly being misted in the store and are dripping wet. Plus, I've found that they keep much better in the refrigerator when stores in the plastic bags to maintain moisture! 😉🌿👍🏻 Glad you're enjoying our videos! Hope this helps!

@EatMoveRest
@EatMoveRest 6 жыл бұрын
Haha! I feel ya! The transition definitely didn’t happen overnight for us either. We didn’t force anything upon ourselves...just kept incorporating more of the good and it crowded out the bad. While fruits and veggies may make you go to the bathroom, the extra fiber is something your body definitely adjusts to, and it’s so good for you! Dairy, on the other hand, backs you up and nobody like that! Keep at it, but don’t feel like you’ve got to force yourself to make drastic changes overnight!🙌🏻😉💚🌿

This grocery haul cost us about $250. We do eat all organic as much as possible which makes it a bit more pricey, but it's totally worth it for the taste, quality, and health benefits! On top of that, we do not eat out as frequently as we used to which saves us A LOT of money. We also looked at other areas we could cut costs, like stopping our cable and gym memberships because eating clean is a top priority! This also eliminates doctor visits and medication expenses! ;) Hope this helps you!!
