Hey everyone, I hope you enjoyed the video! Undertale is one of my favorite games ever, so I'm excited that I got the chance to speedrun it finally I also just wanted to say that I made a mistake with not using the they/them pronouns for a few characters. This completely slipped my mind when writing my script and I'm very sorry for that. Next time I do another Undertale video, or any video in general, I will make sure to not make the same mistake

Considering how aware Sans and Flowey are suppose to be of the game itself, I can't stop laughing at the thought of Sans and Flowey just watching this child go in utter confusion as Frisk runs in full speed through the underground and skips everybody's dialogue. They probably had a hard time even keeping up with the kid.

Sans isn't aware he's in a game, just that resets are happening. Ironically it's Papyrus who is aware they're in a game since at the end of pacifist run he calls that ending "the worst possible ending" since it's the only ending where he doesn't get to be part of the royal guard, which is true since in other endings he gets to be a royal guard or dies.

fun fact: the Asgore and Omega Flowey aren't actually a part of the True Pacifist Ending, and are instead the Neutral Ending, when Asgore gives you the options of Continue or Go Back, if you select Go Back you can go all the way back out of that area to do the stuff you would normally do after reloading after Omega Flowey's fight, which allows you to skip both fights, saving a lot of time. I found this on accident on my first playthrough when I had no food items at Asgore's fight (aside from the pie) and so I was gonna go to Burger Pants for some food items, but then I got a call from Undyne, which later led into the True Lab stuff like normal.

You can't get True Pacifist Ending without doing a Netural Ending. If you beat Flowey then don't kill him, he will actually tell us about "better ending". Then he tells to go back to last save,(If you didn't kill anyone except Asgore) and befriend with someone.(Papyrus if you didn't meet him after battle, Undyne if you didn't meet her after battle, Alphys if you did all) Alphys dating is unaccessable on normal playthrough. You must beat flowey(not Genocide) 1 time to get the True Pacifist Ending, other way it will not work. You probably beat flowey I guess? btw I know this bc I struggled to get True Pacifist Ending for 6 hours when I played it first time lol

OST starts with "Once Upon a Time" and ends with "Good Night" which means Undertale was just a bedtime story. And the first thing you do in Deltarune? You wake up. Before you wake up, you create your character, and then it gets discarded. As in our dreams, we choose the best version of ourselves, just like creating a character. That happens with both Undertale too. In the end, you, the player, are the Author, the Dreamer, and last but not least, The Determined. I'm pretty sure you could have skipped the entire asgore and flowey section if when you got to asgore and he asked do you want to go back you say yes and then leave the entire core then undyne calls you and you to come to papyrus and sans' house where she gives you the letter then and from there you just have to do the true lab stuff I think you probably might already know this but I found it on acident and I'm not sure if it's something that's well known soooo maybe this somehow helps haha I don't know

Ik since this vid is two years old you wont see this, but I wanted to say thank you. This video got me into undertale as a game, as well as EazySpeezy. For context, my sister had played undertale but hadnt gotten past ruins, so i knew what it was, but hadnt interacted with it or its community before that. Watching this reminded me of it, so i picked up my xbox 1 controller and started playing. I got into the community, which changed my artstyle, my sense of humor, and- maybe even my life. It changed the course of my life, allowing me to meet some of my best friends EVER, get into other popular indie games (such as Hollow Knight) and be a better person with a higher ability to form emotional bonds. It also forever ruined my taste in music. Thank you.

@EazySpeezy As an official Undertale speedrunner, I have a few things to say about the run. The official speedrunning community is **extremely** detailed and there are an absurd number of glitches, version differences, closing and starting the game and so forth. Glitchless speedruns are actually the least common in the community and Glitched runs are far more intense and difficult to master. In fact the whole "mashing through dialogue" is somewhat nerfed as you are not playing on the 1.001 Linux version of the game which modifies how the z x enter and shift keys operate, making mashing easier. It's also worthy to note that even glitchless there are some things you missed (though understandable as you're just trying to make a video on it lmao); at 17:28 you say there's no significant way to speed it up though there are a few. The soul phases can be optimized and optimal game quit&reloading can save some time by avoiding cutscenes. Also, the fight button thing isn't quite how the fight works. Each button is set on a timer, and it'll only appear once that time has elapsed, therefore hitting it asap isn't actually the fastest, in fact, there are certain places in the fight where you start doing more damage (you can tell from the music), therefore delaying certain presses can allow for a "flowey quick kill" saving turns over not doing so. 7:58 yes the robot attacks are scripted thus not required to redirect them at dummy. Btw not getting the apron is faster. At 9:13 you missed a pretty important setup where if you stand in a certain position you can save an undyne phase as she will barely not be able to reach you through this hallway if you stand there. You'll hit the room transition before undyne can hit you. Mettaton fight was pretty good though I think taking damage at some point does boost rating. At 16:58 there's a slight trick if you are afraid of that attack, hold x while moving; this reduces your soul speed :) 23:21, you can also do the same trick with the gun attack. 23:26, not true, that attack is avoidable and saves some time XD. 23:48 "Use a couple of act options" is not quite it. Firstly (most important, but im not sure if you did it or not because the video is cut there); eat the pie on the first turn for the Tori-Asgor phase. It'll save you 3 turns, and you use hug on asgore next and it'll instantly be done. For the other phases, the first two choices are virtually indistinguishable from one another since you can z-x-enter-shift mash through all of it anyways. The final (3rd) round pick the one that has the shortest dialogue since that one cannot be skipped. 24:38 *GOAT HUG YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS* (goathugmemez) 24:41 using clever game loading you can skip walking from the frisk sleeping location to the door on the right where you fight asgore because there's a save there :) Overall, good video!

Here is my essay on why the dentist is canon: In the iconic video game “Undertale” by Toby Fox, there is a point in the game when the main character, Frisk, gets a dentist appointment from the “monster king” , Asgore. I have come to believe that this part of the game is canon to the game’s story. I believe that the part of the game mentioned previously is canon to the game’s story because of the part of the game after Frisk’s “Dentist appointment”. This part is when Frisk goes on a date with Undyne, Alphys, and sometimes Papyrus. I believe that when Frisk goes to the dentist appointment, that Frisk has a quite bad tooth injury, and needs to get surgery. Asgore must have needed to give Frisk a pain killer so the surgery did not give Frisk much pain during the medical procedure. After the dentist appointment, the effects of the drug have not worn off and during this time, Frisk's brain is not fully functional. After the appointment, Frisk goes off and dates a bunch of monsters because their brain is not fully functional then and they are kind of stupid at that time. All of this makes the dentist canon because if Frisk had not dated Undyne and Alphys, then their friendship levels would not be as high. If this had not have happened, then Alphys would not have invited everyone over to the lab, which means that Frisk would not have visited the true lab. After that, then Asriel would not have called Frisk because he calls Frisk when Frisk is on the elevator up from the true lab. This would cause Frisk to not come to the place where they would fight Asriel. This would result in Asriel braking the barrier and taking over the surface because he had all of the monster souls and Frisk is the only one that could stop Asriel. This results in all of the humans on the surface dying and finally, Frisk dying so Asriel is the only living thing left in this universe. So that is how if Frisk were never to have gone to the dentist, the whole universe would be destroyed by Asriel Dreemurr. me when the asriel is sus
