_Superliminal_ renews my confidence that game devs in the 2020's will still be able to produce genuinely unique, challenging & entertaining games... and it all started as a university programming assignment! I'm fascinated by optical illusions & how the human brain interprets visual inputs, so a game mechanic that allows you to manipulate objects using perspective is just beyond brilliant. I didn't realise until now that they built an in-game timer for speedrunners, but that's even more amazing... clearly a game made _by_ gamers _for_ gamers. Absolutely love it.

In most situation's you'd see the M first and have to strain your eyes to see the I's instead, but since we already know the title and how it's spelled, we can see all three at a glance and instead have to concentrate hard to see that the M isn't actually there.

Yo, Speezy: I discovered your speedrunning after watching GDQ and Developers React channels. Super dig your casual style of very seriously taking on a speed running project. The narration keeps the motivation and energy up through the game. Not knowing what's coming up keeps the material surprising. That all being said, and no knock to how you approach gaming since it is so personally motivated (Still working on solo/self found offline Holy Grail for D2R - obviously. Ergo, I get it), but how do you feel about just visiting numerous games exploring their speed running community? Do you stop and go back on streams or in your own time to old projects just for yourself? Ever try to use such a diverse speed running knowledge to finding new tactics, or is your thrill just getting in deep and dirty to a new game, a new run, a new challenge and just ford the waters the greats before us did and hope to honor their efforts merely through emulation? In a nutshell, I guess: What's your personal philosophy of speedrunning games?

It’s hard to say, but I guess speedrunning a game helps me get the most out of it. I like learning all about a games mechanics and seeing how far I can push myself within them. However, I also don’t have a personality where I can grind a game for too long. I’ll end up getting bored. So I found the middle ground of speedrunning a lot of games, solely with the purpose of playing until I’m satisfied with my time So I like the idea of casually speedrunning, and taking on each challenge as I want. There are some games that I love going back to and doing some more like Cuphead and Goat Simulator. So every now and then I’ll also go back and do some casual fun improving times on my own. Pick up your cross and follow Jesus! The world is quickly headed for destruction, and sooner or later you will have to sit at the judgement seat and give an account for your actions. Belief in messiah alone is not enough to grant you salvation - Matthew 7:21-23, John 3:3, John 3:36 (ESV is the best translation for John 3:36). Call on the name of Jesus and pray for Him to intervene in your life! - Revelation 3:20. Contemplate how the Roman Empire fulfilled the role of the beast from the sea in Revelation 13. Revelation 17 confirms that it is in fact Rome. From this we can conclude that A) Jesus is the Son of God and can predict the future or make it happen, B) The world leaders/nations/governments etc have been conspiring together for the last 3000+ years going back to Babylon and before, C) History as we know it is fake. You don't really need to speculate once you start a relationship with God tho. Can't get a response from God? Fasting can help increase your perception and prayer can help initiate events. God will ignore you if your prayer does not align with His purpose (James 4:3) or if you are approaching Him when "unclean" (Isaiah 1:15, Isaiah 59:2, Micah 3:4). Stop eating food sacrificed to idols (McDonald's, Wendy's etc) stop glorifying yourself on social media or making other images of yourself (Second Commandment), stop gossiping about other people, stop watching obscene content etc and you should get a response. Have a blessed day!
@OnlyTheMostHoodOfGabes2 жыл бұрын
@@Rekkuza-eu6sp I actually am a Christian, and while I'm not a big fan of copy and paste evangelism, I think I appreciate your intentions here. I think you're off on a few things, though. One main thing I would ask would be clarification of "Belief in [the] messiah alone is not enough to grant you salvation. If this is referring to Jewish religious beliefs then I understand, but if you're implying some sort of secret knowledge beyond Jesus on how to be saved, you're on the wrong track. While a true commitment to God is essential, we're not saved by works, only by the grace of God, and there's no secret extra step (Ephesians 2:8). On smaller but still concerning points, you're moving into a disturbing realm of thought when preaching that all the world governments have been in kahoots for years and that all of history is fake. Yes, Revelation does talk about a sort of one-world government, and you can see things leaning in that direction somewhat in the modern era, I don't think it's an accurate statement. I'm not saying that believing something wrong on a secondary issue ruins your Christianity, but it can be concerning. As for the "food sacrificed to idols" part of your comment, regardless of your reasoning (most likely having to do with the political and social issues they support that contradict the Bible), I don't think it's right at all to equate Wendy's and McDonald's with that. Not that I'm recommending those places of course, there are plenty of better places to clog your arteries if you're into that sort of thing. Anyway, thought I'd throw in my two cents. Any criticism is written out of concern both for you and for anyone reading your comments, as I want them to have an accurate view of Christianity.

It blocked the gap so I could make all duplicate apples go to the top without being blown away. The second time I did it the easy way. Crazy how over complicated I made it, and I can't seem to make that big ass apple again.

When I played the game for the first time, I had no idea how to do the room at 11:44 so I used the two doors to first make me gigantic, then really small, and again, and somehow after some resizes the game glitched and i could walk into the next level UNDER the floor. great speedrun tho and nice to finally know how it‘s actually done

Thank you so much for running our game. The community is one of the nicest I have ever been a part of, especially the glitchless tournaments 💜🏳️🌈

I love this game so much. Just the concept is something so unique and I'd be excited to see some sort of sequel if they ever do.

I played this game time ago coz it was in the game pass,it absolutely broke my mind coz i never played or seen anything like that anywhere,there are a lot of illusions and things u just can’t imagine. Definitely one of the most or the most trippy game ever,and it’s very cool too,wish there were more similar game.

6:09 In the little room on the other end of the hall is a whiteboard that says "murder" 5 or 6 times. And the room at 7:17 has a knife that dissapears if you switch the torch that lights it off and on... Pretty terrifiying if its your first playthrough...

Fun story: I used this exploit ( 2:48 ) to do this section ( 1:11 ) the first time i played the game and today i learned how to do that section legit.
@theone3602 жыл бұрын
It's not really an exploit, but that just goes to show how interesting this game is.

Yeah and it's only slower for speedrunning lol.

on one hand, its nice to see someone have chill reactions over time losses. on the other hand, so many speedrunners treat it like such an agonizing kryptonite that i wonder if youre just trying to cope lol

I love this game, and it's really cool to see you run it. I worked dammed hard to get this glitchless under 30 mins, and it's cool to see this game getting the deserved recognition

8:27 The smiley-face cursor is a reference to QT, another indie game that takes place in a hallway of a building! The cursor in that game is also a smiley face! :)

Let's go! This is my speedrun game of choice! I like to run this game glitchless, and my PB is 27:48. I mostly do it casually, but it's still my most dedicated one.

It's funny seeing you speedrun it using some strats but the most basic stuff isn't used like cutting corners on the desks at the starting areas, and cutting corners of the railings on the steps going up. Also you don't need the light to get through the boxes, that wastes a ton of time. Many times when you pick things up, you turn to put them down. Most times you can just keep it in your hand and keep going straight for faster times. I'm sure this was one of your first ventures into speedrunning the game, but it's just funny seeing some advanced strats used without the basic ones lol. Good video :)

"Son! We're leaving in half an hour!" This guy: "Aight lemme beat this game rq-" This game has always messed with my head and I love seeing people when they first react to it! Especially this one iconic line: "WHY CAN'T JUST BE CUBE?!?"

10:44 no one gonna tell if a pun is intended or not? But at least it's only a little bit of a "BLOCK" away (literally there's a Jenga block) A block is a distance from one street to the next, perpendicular to the street you are walking on.
