Fairly good circuit breakdown. After the primary step-down transformer, 12Vdc is derived from the 4 rectifier diodes you pointed out and the 7805 input is taken from the 12Vdc supply to provide 5V for the uController PCB. It's hard to match things up using a video but it looks as though mains power is routed to another set of rectifier diodes that pass rectified mains at 160Vdc to the switching transistors in a "self-oscillating" circuit, probably a "tickler", to drive the transducers directly. You are correct about the large magnetics providing a wave-shaping function for the transducers and C11 and C12 limit current to them. The relays switch the transducer circuits and the heater on and off using inputs from the uController board. Not bad as "Chinese" production goes but ultimately, the quality of the components is what will largely determine longevity and performance of the unit. As always, you get what you pay for. Enjoy the cleaner.

Is it possible to attach a small load such as a light bulb to test the output of these boards? Disconnecting transducers.

It's worth noting how hot the transistors get BTW - mine quickly reach 100 oC

Interesting video. Have one and it keeps blowing fuses. Do you know where to get a schematic?

can a controller from a 50w ultrasonic cleaner work with a 100w ultrasonic driver pcb?

Can you tell me where to hook up multimeter to check like you did in your video. What lead goes to what connection. Thanks

Hi! interesting video, I have one similar to yours but of 15 L, unfortunately it came from the faulty china, in the sense that as I press the main switch to ON, the house current jumps and I cannot understand why, I tried to do continuity test and I find that the traces where the red and black wires of the ultrasonic transducer pass in the pcb board are connected, do you think this is normal? could this be the cause of the problem?

It is more crucial to check how they glue the transducer to the tank. Doggie glue will deteriorate the coupling in a relatively short time due to heat and vibration.

Man la I have a broken ultrasonic bath I am attempting to repair. The blown transducer was stuck to a black layer of something then a clear epoxy onto the tank. Do you know what the black layer is?
@manla83974 жыл бұрын
Matt it could be just JB epoxy.

At 12:15 your pointing to a resister with yellow band as the 1st ring, mines blown, as well as a glass fuse, can you tell me what resister this is please as I need to buy some, mine would turn on, the heating part working, when you turned on the ultrasonic part it popped a fuse, I replaced the fuse twice, opened it up and saw that resister had blown

The lines and colors do have meanings, i don’t know off hand but google a decoder and you should find a replacement

Seems the transducer on mine is fading - works on power on then quickly dies off. Suspect it's unrepairable... re- self driving... the way it was explained to me was that the initial power-on ramps up and as power flows to the component, that change drives the initial kick that starts the resonance... Many of these units - especially the boards on their own - come with a warning that the power on should be fast or it will fail to resonate... (that's bad)...

It is no't crappy, you think you buy from Germany or US that is better than Chinese? Chines also assembly in Germany, US, and when you see made in US or Germany you pay more than that "crappy one" and you get same quality.
