I thought it was adorable when you smiled as you admited to having more than one taste of those magnificent tarts ant that is good enough a review for me so on the list of holiday treat it goes for me! It looks very very good... I like having the individual tarts as it just seems very special and impressive on a dish. Thank you again for another winner!

Hello, Mr. Cooper! I watched this video some days ago, but only now I could come and let a message. First I loved its name and so I had to google it. Ecclefechan is such a charming small village and its fruity tart is really appetizing. Thank you once more!

I'm not an experienced baker, but I made these the other day and they turned out great. So much better than the store bought tarts! I substituted chopped almonds for the walnuts and sprinkled them with slivered almonds. Thank you for sharing your recipes!

Always looking for recipes for Christmas that seem "English" or Australian. Cannot buy Christmas Pudding or mince tarts or anything traditional here so have to make everything. I found you by your meat pies and make them so I always have 2 in the freezer. Will definitely give these a whirl..... also loved how you admitted that you had eaten more than one !! so cute :-)

These look delightful. What is the name of the tool you used to press the dough into the muffin tin? I need one of those. Where did you find it?
@geoffsbakingblog3 жыл бұрын
HI Sharon. Thanks very much. As for the tool I am tempted to say that I made it myself. But, of course, I didn't. My wood working skills would have meant I ended up with a toothpick. I bought mine from Amazon where they are listed as tart tamper , pastry tamper. I think the correct way to use it may be to have a ball of dough that you then press into the muffin tin to create the shape, but I find the way I did it, without pressing down too firmly works better. Then I gently press all the way in with the smaller end, which also fits a mini muffin tin.
