Emilia is SINGLE | Re:Zero Season 2 Episode 14 Review/Analysis

Re:Zero Season 2 is BACK, and so are Emilia's memories of her past. Here's my review of Re:Zero Season 2 (Part 2) Episode 14, AKA Re:Zero Episode 39.
Last Episode: • Satella's Wish | Re:Ze...
Next Episode: • So, THAT just happened...
After being motivated by Otto, Subaru confronts Roswaal and the two of them make a bet. A STRAIGHT BET! Subaru plans to save the Sanctuary and the mansion, both in his current life. If he fails, he will have to follow Roswaal's orders in his next life. But if he succeeds, Roswaal must abandon his gospel. This means that Subaru cannot die for the rest of Season 2 Cour 2, or else Roswaal will win. Puck returns momentarily only to break up with Emilia, which restores the memories from her past.
Will Emilia be able to face her past in the Sanctuary's Trials now that her memories have returned? Or will the loss of Puck be enough to break her completely? There's a lot of weight on Subaru's shoulders now, because if anything goes wrong for the rest of the season, Subaru will have no choice but to become Roswaal's pawn.

In the movie, there is a scene where Emilia freezes the Black Serpents Venom, using a very strong spell, freezing everything around her and during that scene, there is a split second where Emilia sees some people being frozen, possibly flashbacks. Thats why I think the only suspect is Emilia. And she probably sees herself freezing everything in the Trials. I don't know if you will read this but if you do, i wish it was helpful

The way they attacked and executed this episode seems like chopping and mixing the chapters in LN and ye it probably butchered 100 pages lol.. this is how you direct the ep to give the anime viewers a big surprise with shock value added... As a Wn and Ln reader,you must know that some scenes in this ep(most notably the last scene,the meet up between Emilia and Subaru) will happen on future episodes and a lot of things must happen first before we get to this particular scene(s)... It's actually a good setup..it looks random but it's not..
