I think you should keep quick combat disabled for the tutorial videos. Quick movement is fine, but combat is more prone to have some details missed if it's quick.

Best beginners guide I’ve watched! I started playing and I did the tutorial but it I felt it didn’t explain that well and just gave you the barebones of civilization. These past 2 videos have really helped me in understanding how to play the game smarter and to take my time every turn. It’s a game of chess basically.

I had to watch this one twice as I fell asleep during the first time (you’re very relaxing to watch/listen to after a work day lol). Holy cow I NEVER scrolled down in that screen for the city states to know about the individual bonuses for the specific city state, but also never knew about the standard benefits! Improve their tiles with my own builder? Wow that’s awesome!!! :)

Great info Echo - I would be interested to know which Civs you consider best, which units, which building which City States etc and why. I've been playing Civ since Civ 1 (at release) and am amazed at what I'm learning from your videos. I tend to pick the same stuff over and over and it's nice to learn another perspective.

From one old school civ fan to another, thank you for the comment. I am of the opinion most civs, buildings, civ states can be the "best", all depending on the strategy you are trying for in that particular game.

Bully for you mr. President!! 😂😂 u get special brownie points from me for choosing teddy. He’s my jam. Either him or kupe, and I tend to lean more on kupe just cuz he can traverse water tiles from the start of the game. However, rough rider teddy, not bull moose teddy. Anytime I see bull moose teddy as an AI on my games he immediately becomes a target of mine lol he usually winds up denouncing me over me developing all of my land 😂😂 stupid tree huggers lol I got a world to dominate! Also last thing: the word suzerian is pronounced like the first part of the name suzie, and then the last part is pronounced “Arian” like the Arian brotherhood (bad example but that’s how ya say it.) Suz-arian. Kinda rhymes in pronunciation to the word libertarian.
