7:02, The MG looks like its new again. The refinished wheels look great as well, but a new set of lug nuts should've been used instead or the rusty originals.

Edd’s tip about making a frame with tape, then filling it in would have saved me a lot of frustration many years ago when I was repairing the rocker panels and a rear fender on my 1975 Camero!

You have to remember, they were doing up a car to make a profit, that was the idea of the show, and in the early days, they were looking at it from the perspective of an amateur mechanic. So no they didn't do the bright work, or the engine bay, they did what was necessary to flip a not to rare car, for some profit.

Always a problem with these older episodes was they would blow the budget on one big job like the paint, then it’s always such a shame when they put grotty components like those pitted chrome window trims and those terrible wheel nuts back onto the car.

I'd say more like when was it done ? I just checked it was first aired in 2004 ! no wonder the respray was only a grand, mind you 20 years ago even a grand would have been cheap! I had a Triumph TR7 resprayed by a very cheap garage back around 1992 and they charged me £800 I remember most garages wanted well over £1000 and that was over 30 years ago. Mike must be getting trade rates.

Should have stayed with the blaze, when repainted it would looked as good if not better, plus the interior of boot and engine could have been cleaned up and would have matched perfectly. Comments re lug nuts have already been correct made.

Erm good vid..but cost.... so no labour cost... Yes I know a gifted amateur could do it, but unless you wanted it to sit in your garage for years whilst you sorted it whilst actually working for a living the cost is unrealistic....

Mike brewer is a crap car deller he spends money on cars like a range rover cost him 5 grand and spends 5 grand on it and sales it for 11 thousand I my self sele it for lest 15thousend and he sees car fare to cheep after eed do all the work I fill sort for edd
