For track only its good but overall an SS 1LE is a much better buy for the same price and probably more fun. Another better option for the same price is the C6 z06 or a barely used c7 stingray.

7lameboy c6 z06 as in a 2006-2013 corvette z06 this got its entire drive train from. Lighter, same power, and they’re beginning to creep into the high $20k range. Real Bargain is the c6 z06 if you ask me

I agree with you on the C6 Z06 being the better performance bargain car. I still would rather own this Z28 than a new Camaro SS. This is just much better looking, and a better drivers car, which isn’t that what people really are looking for in a car like this? You literally don’t need to change anything on the Z28 as it is from factory. The SS needs a lot of changes if you want to stand out.

IDK most reviewers prefer the SS1LE's driving dynamics just a more advanced, lighter platform although the z28 is faster due to its tires,suspension and aero. In terms of looks I'm not the biggest fan of the z28 from the front looks dated as does its interior. The 1le will also make a far better road car due to its magnetic ride and better sound insulation.

I like the wheels because they help the car move. I also like the steering wheel because it allows you to steer the car. The handling seems great, it drives like a car. I also like the fact that it's a car because it's a car. Btw, it's a car focused car, so know that.

Agreed about everything said. I too have one (black) and driving on the roads is super uncomfortable but at Mid-Ohio racecourse...it comes alive and can take corners at full speed! Brakes are incredible w/ zero fade. On the dyne, she put down 509 at the wheels...stock! Brutal. :)

Nice Z28 EddieX but what Im interested right now is a new CamaroSS 1LE but at the same time, I'm worried that I wont like the car because if I need to drive it every day it would beat me up physically with that stiff suspension and loud exhaust, lol. What do you think its resale value would be in 3 or 4 years in case I want to trade it in? Is a V6 RS a better bet for daily use ? Just need to have some fun in my old age, lol.

+Rudy F after driving the SS 1LE I was really impressed, I think it's a car that could be dailied. It was quite nice. No idea on resale value, likely on par with previous gen Camaro SSs. The V6 would be adequate for daily use, but I think the power and sound and character of the V8 is worth the upgrade!

The Ford GT also has spool-valve dampers. I like the Camaro Z28 at at around 40k those cars are a bargain. The only drawback is that I am a Ford guy so I don't really see myself owning a car with a Chevy badge.
