I have to climb hills of sand, mud , dirt, foward and backward. I have to back-up into every driveway even in the woods so sometime have no choice but roll over trees and rocks. I absolutly love the robustness of your trucks and the fact that the parts are available everywhere. The idea of a very sturdy electric/diesel hybrid trucks is very attractive! Curved glass is also stronger, although that can also be solved with thicker or more layers of glass. I doubt that’s why all companies use curved glass but a slight curve can go a long way in preventing cracks.

@@UnyonRingI get the devil's advocate fs not harping on you but even if it's easier to crack the economy of scale and simplicity of creation that could be achieved by flat glass would in theory mean that even with more cracks it'd be so much easier to repair that it still pays for itself

You definitely need to get into the defense industry. You could design LMTV like vehicles that would run quieter, farther, with less thermal signature, plus their generators could be used to power other equipment when the truck is parked. With all the redundancies that you've been including, it'd be something a soldier could depend on in a bad situation. Make it use a generator thats already in service. If the generator gets shot out they could return to base on battery power. Then steal a generatorthats powering something less important, get that truck back on the road. They'd bring so much utility to the soldier, they really could save lives. If a hospital loses power in an airstrike you could park a few of these with their generators running and get the lights on. Etc etc etc.

Several ideas and requests. 1st Please work with Roshel to make the Roshel Senators Diesel electric. These have the added reasons of stealth, including thermal stealth, reliability, efficiency, ability to work as an emergency generator, working with solar panels for example as a plug in to conserve even more diesel. 2nd For redundancy please try a design with two sewing machine sized plug in - pull out - diesel power packs that can swap in a minute to allow easier service. Having two packs also allows one engine operation for maintenance cruise, and two engine operation for running recharge. This is great for Roshel Senators and for commercial vehicles. 3rd Please look at Axial Electric and other higher torque new designs of motors because I suspect that there are opportunities there to add noticeable capacity.
@subwarpspeed3 ай бұрын
Or they just work on THEIR truck which investors have or put money down into. It's not that this is cutting edge, it's that no one else bothered to put e-axles, generator etc together. And no they don't need to complicate things with two diesel generators that should be swappable in case one breaks down. The diesel generator will run at constant rpm and have its best life, not revving and different chock loads. With proper service it will work fine. And if it breaks three odds are good that there's enough juice in the batteries to get off the road at a good place and maybe also (might need to unhook the trailer) to drive to a shop for the repairs instead of being done in the field or needs a tow truck. So still better than regular ICE trucks.

@jerryfick6132 ай бұрын
When you are rolling down a long hill in a full diesel logging truck applying the brake or Jake braking, the load on the diff is on the trailing side. So these machines are designed for it. Plus these are E-axles, they are designed for regen braking.
