Great review. I’ve had my SX AWD Telluride since Halloween and I am very happy with it. I do not use the auto open feature on the back hatch because it will try to open when I am walking behind it and my garage door is closed. It has been cold lately so I need to close the garage door to take my daughters inside if they are asleep. I traded in a 2019 Volvo XC60 for a Telluride. Still love the Volvo but I needed more space and this is easier to move around in than the XC90 with a more useable 3rd row at a lot lower price. Of course, the quality of the materials are not the same as Volvo’s but it is still a great buy because of all the features the Telluride comes with. Not that it matters but I have received more compliments on the Telluride than I did on the Volvo. People cannot believe it is a Kia. I have had retail store employees walk past it at store pick up spots because they are looking for a Kia. I had to ask them who they were looking for. 😂 Some friends did wonder why I downgraded but once they see it they understand. I will never put on the “other” Kia badges on. Not judging people who do but I don’t get that. I drive a lot and I only get about 360 miles per fill up where I would get closer to 410 with the Volvo. They both have similar mpg. It feels odd to only pay $28 to fill up because it only needs 87 but I would prefer to pay a little more and gas up a little less often. I am averaging 20.8 mpg. But overall, all of the extra cargo space is worth it.

It's bad enough I get stepped up to by mustangs and camaros on my daily commute in a plain-Jane, fishbowl, wrx; I could only imagine what it would be like in the STi. Somehow others think it is an invitation to show off. Within a month with my wrx, twerps in "daddy's" type-r asked me if my car was fast while getting coffee at the local Starbucks... At times, on start-up, the dash lights up with alerts that none of my safety guidance systems are working. Upon a restart, it’s okay, but sometimes it takes two or three restarts. Very annoying, but it’s very intermittent. Also, because I’m so stupid, I can’t figure out how to set it up so the dome lights come on when I open the door, and if I put a destination into the GPS, I can only pause the route. Where the hell is the cancel route function? One more thing: I’m an old fart (64), and have a long history of minor panic attacks. Nothing serious, but one of the times I would kind of freeze up and sense one coming on is when passing an 18-wheeler on the highway. Well, it’s exactly a year since I got the Telluride, and not one single instance of this. It’s just an effin’ pleasure to drive.

@@Jaqen-HGhar not at the level of Hyundai/Kia. I'm betting that between the Pony and the Excel, and all the disastrous cars (Sephia, Accent...) in between, if you look at their entire history, they have more engine recalls and SETTLEMENTS than Toyota and Honda combined. A few years back, I was a Marketing Director at a Hyundai Dealership and had to deal with leaking windshields, side windows coming off their tracks, etc. for 2 months and left before they drove me nuts. Sorry, but I would be very wary of having a Hyundai/Kia as my sole transportation. My wife made that mistake with a Sephia before meeting me. She won't even get in one.

Come back and do a review on it when it has 80K miles on it and see what went wrong.. 1 year review is not really good in gauging the long-term reliability of a product.. In fact do a 100K review on it, and let's see if it holds up as well as say a Toyota or Honda...
@anonymoususer18242 жыл бұрын
Exactly. I'm at 210,009 with no issues. People should wait until a model is 10 years old with 100,000+ miles on it before saying it's reliable. How do they know when it's only been out a few years!,

Our Kia is so great!! We have a 2009 Kia Borrego. We got it probably about 10 years ago. It has over 200k miles and still runs perfectly! We wished there was a newer version of one of those but were instead redirected to the Telluride! We are excited

I've got a strong feeling that Kia and Hyundai will drop the 3.3L twin turbo V-6 in the Telluride and Palisade. How does Kia Telluride SX turbo sound?!🤔 If you look at the rear exhaust of both of these SUV'S it looks like they are planning on adding two more exhaust tips to the left side, humm.....🤔

Looks amazing but totally worthless as an AWD or 4x4. This doesn't even have 4 low gearing...or downhill decent assist so you are dead coming down a steep hill on ice and snow... so don't think about driving this to ski resort in a real storm. Believe me I live on a mountain peak and 4 low has saved my life endless times. At least the palisade, pathfinder, forerunner, Taureg, etc. have either low gearing or downhill decent assist control. But most people see AWD and think they are good to go... but they are clueless. This is a beautiful vehicle though if you are just looking for a city street SUV that looks cool and runs well...

Even the least reliable vehicles will have little to no issue at 1 yr. and 16k miles. I’m not saying the Telluride is unreliable but that you haven’t had it long enough to know for a fact one way or the other.
@user-tb7rn1il3q3 жыл бұрын
Korean cars fall apart approaching 100k miles. The Telluride is no different. It’s already dated. The mpg is awful and the suspension is mushy. The suspension should be firm except for pot holes.

Two things..it needs a digital dash with turn signal cameras (like the Hyundai) and it needs to park itself, not just pull in and out of a space. Those features would be win win for me.

Before you release a video, please verify the information you provide. I mean, a car is the second-largest purchase anyone will make, right? The 5 year/60,000-mile warranty is not “Bumper to Bumper,” everyone in this industry needs to stop using this term unless it is actually true. The car has a 5 year/60,000-mile BASIC warranty. The Audio/Entertainment is covered for 3 years/36,000 miles. Paint and original equipment battery are covered for the same amount of time or mileage. You have a service adjustment period for 12 months or 12,000 miles. Hopefully, this is helpful, and you correct the misinformation you have provided.

First year production? I lived it in 2021 when I placed an order for a Ford Maverick. Ordered in November, received in April 2022. This is the Ecoboost XL. The thing gets GREAT gas mileage as a gas engine. Typically doing 26-28mpg city and 30-33 highway. Love my Maverick, but should have ordered the 4K tow package because I now tow a small cargo trailer. I feel like I'm pushing the 2000lb weight limit with my trailer that weighs about 1500lbs all-in, but the truck pulls like it's not even there. Going to pay it off and make some considerations for future vehicles. The Telluride is on my radar. Do good things, Kia. When you reach the point where you can out-build the Japanese giants, you'll know you've truly made it as a company. DON'T BE MITSUBISHI.

I don't really associate a year with "reliability". Seems more like a review of usability during the first year. At 12:38 he says its "amazing" it's had no issues in that year? Did he expect to have issues in that first year? That feels like pretty low expectations.

I don't need to carry my keys around at home while doing chores. Keeping my keys on me is completely unnecessary and couldn't imagine having your problem. It's also common sense to turn the it off if you have a hitch rack mounted.

It should shut off automatically. This is very poor engineering. Imagine the door staying open for a month at an airport parking lot or crashing into something.
