Not to trauma dump but a very similar thing happened to me in my year 11 with my 'friends'. Long story short, one of our friends was talking online to someone twice their age (we were 15 at the time) and at the same time I was in the office with our head of year having a counselling session. They saw me, assumed I was telling the teacher about this girl and the guy and immediately turned on me without a second thought. Instantly I had nobody. No friends, nobody to talk to. It was the most isolating thing I've ever been through. I ate lunch alone, in the bathroom. I didn't go to lessons I would sit in the office and hide. Girl's can be absolutely horrid. It's been 6 years and not a single one of those girls ever apologised or said they were sorry for the misunderstanding. I hope this girl has found some peace now. I have 🥰

I went through something very similar. Two different girls on two different occasions made it their life’s mission for weeks to isolate me from everyone. After that I stopped caring what people think but then I also have the biggest imposter syndrome thinking no one ever wants me around and are only being polite no matter how nice they are. It’s a horrible situation and my heart goes out to this girl. I hope she realises her worth and is okay now

I've 100% been in this situation at school, it is so isolating. My twin and I's friend group dropped us in year 11 with no reasoning whatsoever, we never made up with any of them besides 1. I also got bullied by a second group of girls who made a rumour that I was after one of their boyfriends, despite going out of my way to take said girlfriend to a clinic when she thought she might be pregnant, none of her 'friends' did that. We're 28 now and I still have most of them blocked to this day, as my bully tried to apologise on the last day of year 11, like all of her bullying was one big joke to her. I protected my peace and denied her apology. I have to admit it has made me into a mouthy so-and-so, my skin is thick for sure, but I think if it wasn't for my twin sister I wouldn't have made it through high school. I was lucky I had her, I couldn't imagine going through that completely alone.

I feel so bad for Ashley when the teachers didn't even step in to help her. I was horrendously bullied at school when was younger I didn't have any friends for years and my teachers even the head! Did absolutely nothing it hurts to see students have to go through this alone :( I hope she's doing alot better today and has true friends ❤️🙏🏼

I had something very similar to this happen to me when I was 13. My best friend and I got into a stupid, petty argument and she and her new friend group started spreading rumors about me throughout the entire school. Only a couple of people would even talk to me. It got so bad that I had people that I didn't even know coming up to me, threatening me because my friend and her friends started rumors that I was talking shit about all these people, but I wasn't. I got immensely depressed and that year is the year I started self harming. It got so bad that my mom finally had had enough and went into my school and talked to the principal about what was going on. He brought us into his office and forced us to apologize to each other, even though I was the one being tormented. She stopped doing everything after that, but we were never friends again. That whole experience fundamentally changed me as a person and I was never the same after that. My self esteem and self worth were already shaky because I was bullied my whole life at school, but that was the worst it ever had gotten and it took many, many years; up into my early 20's, before I finally began to rebuild those things and how I viewed myself. So needless to say, my heart went out to this girl. I understand exactly how she felt. I hope she's doing good today.

I remember being in this kind of situation before and it ruined the rest of my time in school. This one very close friend I had since nursery turned on me so suddenly, and every time I tried to ask her what I'd done wrong, she would ignore me. She turned my friend group on me, too, and they wouldn't talk to me when I'd sit with them. It got to the point where I was on my own because besides one person, my entire year group hated me because of a rumour and her spreading lies about me. This same girl went to the same college as me, and I ended up having a good friend group, being on good terms with my classmates in my course, and just overall doing really well; but she was very much experiencing the opposite. She would also try to insert herself into mine and my friends' conversations, as if she didn't treat me horribly, and she continued to treat me the same way she did in school until I finally gained the courage to turn around and leave me alone. She got the hint that I was in a much better place, with friends who actually cared about me, then she left me alone from then on. She even quit college because she didn't like the fact that I was doing so much better than her.

Can confirm arguments with girls in school are awful. Doing multiple GCSEs in a year has been absolutely suffocating, and unwinding with your videos has become a very welcome part of my routine after long studying sessions. I usually don't listen to commentary videos whilst I work because it's distracting and prevents me from getting into the headspace to write anything, but I always have your videos playing in the background whilst I do my homework because I can divide my attention equally between the task at hand and whatever it is you're covering. I think it's just that your accent is easy on the ears and isn't too overstimulating or dull. So all in all thank you for providing me with a chill atmosphere and a sliver of sanity in the lead up to my exams, your videos are much appreciated

My daughter is going through this now, she's only 13.. its heart breaking. I was bullied all through school, and I agree it does make you thick skinned, but unfortunately, it's not till you're older. As much as I wanna sort it out for her she won't open up fully as she doesn't want me to think she's 🤔 weak I guess. She would literally do anything for anyone. That, to me, seemed like it went beyond bulling into abuse territory, and what's even scarier those girls knew what they were doing to that poor girl. They isolated her, mentally abused her, and seemed to find great enjoyment doing it. I hope that, as adults, they've watched this and apologised for their scary and alarming behaviour. I get that they were kids, but when you've been on the receiving end of this treatment, it's so hard to undo how it made you feel and how you think about yourself for years.

I hope things get better for you; I understand how it feels to be iced out at school 💔 We just have to learn to assert ourselves and find areas of life that give us happiness, you know? I'm still dealing with people spreading rumours about me, and I'm 46.. I just tune those people out, and focus on my own successes. It hurts, yes, but at the end of the day, some of the people who are so cruel are struggling with their own sense of inadequacy, and that's their problem to work on in life.

That is the worst feeling ever, I know it. It will sound trite, but once you escape the prison that is high school, suddenly all of that toxicity falls away and everything improves. It doesn't stop high school from sucking, but if you can move, move. If not (and you're stuck 700km inland in Australia like I was) then tell yourself that the loneliness will pass. Take up a hobby with the elderly - they have a great perspective and would literally kill to have the chance to pass on knowledge.
