I’m glad you found it useful. Thanks for the feedback. It’s a great unit. I use it a lot to see temp before I switch over to my used cooking oil blend. It runs better in a hot engine.

Mate have also just fitted one of these alarms to my landcruiser and fitted the sensor same place as your cruiser, just wondering what temperature your readings are, my temperature is reading 61 degrees at 100k, this to me is an incorrect reading and should read around 80-85, you're thoughts would be appreciated.

I don't know any thing about the product but I've fitted hundreds of sentinel mechanical systems. WATER TEMP ,WATER LOSS AND OIL PRESSURE IN COMBINATION IS THE WAY TO GO .IT DOESN'T WORK ON COMMERCIAL VEHICLES AS THE DRIVERS IGNORE THE FACT THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM. THE MOTOR HAS TO BE SHUT AT THE FUEL PUMP, OR PARTIAL CUT TO IDLE.

what did you do witht he sensor 2 wires ? and where did you put the buzzer, did you just leave it dangling? Kind of a newbie, would appreciate the help

Double sided tape under the dash for the buzzer. I only used one sensor.

Sorry I found instructions challenging also. I have just left it at factory settings and just keep an eye on the temperature. I was just looking for something a bit more accurate than my factory gauge that would start moving after it got hot. Thanks for watching

How accurate do you find the temp gauge not actually being submerged in the coolant

It’s not measuring the coolant temp. You can get it to do that. I have it set up to measure the block temp. Coolant temp will be different. The instructions show 2 ways to set it up. I chose to go block. I have been happy with how it works that way. You can set it up in the coolant system.

@@ianscolari5916 unsure you will have to look up the specification’s for your car and what the gauge says for your car. I can not make recommendations on this. I am just running the gauge to keep an eye on my block temperature.

@@ianscolari5916 mine reads 62 degrees Celsius towing 7x4 trailer with tradie rack full on camping gear. 70 degrees Celsius max going up hills 4.2 turbo diesel 6 cylinder 2 inch exhaust

Good video, thank you, however with the Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0 ecodiesel you carnt even see the engine, so it would have to be done by a pro.
