I made this Eggless Gulab Jamun Cake recipe | Indian Fusion Cake on the eve of my daughter's birthday and it turned out even better than what I would ask for.
It is a rabdi flavoured cake, the even light and fluffy layers of cake with soft crumbs are then drenched in the sugar syrup that is scented with rose and saffron, layered with the smoothest cloud-like whipped cream frosting sandwiched with bits and pieces of soft gulab jamun that literally melts in your mouth which is then dressed up in the most amazing silky smooth whipped cream frosting.A slice of this cake would surely make you close your eyes and enter into the state of nirvana :D

I made this on Sunday for a work colleague and she absolutely loved it! It was soooo tasty. Your instructions from your website were fairly easy to follow in conjunction with the video. Only difference I found was that the cakes only took 20 mins to bake, not 35-45 mins. I had them in 3 separate cake tins and rotated them at 10 min intervals and found at the 2nd interval they were done. Tasted AH-MAZE-ING!!!

I made this cake and it turned out well. A few notes: 1. I felt lazy so I used Cool Whip as a frosting but I added vanilla and cardamom essence to flavor it. 2. I used two 9 in round cake pans and it baked up in 30 minutes, and it was very soft. I thought it might be bland with just cardamom essence so I added vanilla essence too. 3. The cake tasted so much better the next day after sitting in the fridge overnight. 4. I think I can probably use the same cake recipe and make rasmalai cake next time.
