I am vegan and was looking for a perfect cake recipe for so long. Believe me when I say that I have tried and tested so many recipes but only this one works the best. As is said I am vegan i.e. I don't consume any animal products no meat, dairy or eggs. I tried this recipe very carefully exactly how it has been shown with my home made peanut curd and soy milk. My cake has turned out to be gorgeous. I am so relieved that my search for a perfect sponge/tea cake recipe ends here and I cannot wait to make it again and again using different flavors.

Written recipe Curd -1/2 cup Powdered sugar -1 cup Mix well Vanilla -1 tsp Mix Oil -1/2 cup Mix well Maida -1&1/2 cup Baking powder -1 tsp Baking soda -1/2 tsp Sieve Milk-3/4 cup Add gradually Mix well Cake tin used -6 inch Preheat the pan for 5 mins on low flame Bake for 40 -45 mins on low flame Low flame means not too low but less than meduim... For oven - Bake at 180©for 30-35 mins
