I was friends with a guy called Lonnie Mack , who knew Jim when he was working for Electra Records. He said Jim was a real nice , kinda shy dude when he was sober but he would start fights and seemed to get off on causing trouble when he got too drunk or took too many Valium or too much speed and then got drunk. He got off on making people react to him . He enjoyed pissing off groups of people. He wanted to see what he could get them to do and he thought it was funny. . Lonnie being a huge mean looking SoB would sometimes go to the bars with him and more than once had to intervene so Jim wouldn't get beat with a pool cue. The next day he'd be genuinely sorry and apologizing. Just a nice , talented guy who was in the grip of alcoholism.

Two biographers claim that when he was 11 he told his mother that a family friend had molested him. The mother got mad and said he was a liar. His junior high girlfriend said that that's when he started drinking and became angry and wild and troubled

@@fredalwatkins4506 that may be true. His parents came off as extremely narrow minded and judgemental people

All four members of The Doors were college-educated. Jim Morrison graduated from UCLA with a bachelor's degree in film, while Ray Manzarek earned a master's degree in psychology from the same institution. Robby Krieger and John Densmore attended the University of California for three years and planned to complete their degrees through extension courses.
