Anything is possible but I don’t believe JM was a tool of the man. JM distanced himself from that upbringing.There seemed to be real resentments on Jim’s part. He left all to Pam (basically,his wife) .Disassociating himself from his Father and his family,in general. Jim was super intelligent but also bi polar (and an addict). But one thing he never reneged on: his distance from his Father and his family (to his grave).

He also knew of the history of greek theatre and many other things that well read and well educated scholars know. The music stands the test of time as does the work of Hendrix and Santana. But yes much was sold to us. And the Admiral never really understood his son but his sister has edited the recent book. The 60 minutes segment is recent and interviews her it is on YOU TUBE.
