Hello guys. This is a video about my 2006 Range Rover L322. This car has the 3.0 liter turbo diesel 6 cylinder engine. This is a BMW M57 engine. In this video I show you how to remove the EGR valve and replace it with a very simple but effective bypass. This job only takes 30 minutes and costs less than 50 Euros and will save you fuel and even gain a little power. YES I do recommend doing this with your TD6 engine. Please fire away with any comments or questions. All the best guys.

Did the engine management come on when you deleted the egr?

Can I ask what the fuel use difference is? I’ve mine set to read in miles. I get a reading of around 24mpg off the dash. Would like some more but you said in the video “it went down” did you mean up? 12km thanks.

Hi. The egr delete did seem to save a little fuel. I'm not sure about mpg but In l/100km it went from roughly 13l/100km to 12l/100km. Kindest regards man

Be interested whether anybody has had before/after dyno testing done when removing a clean EGR. Going from a dirty/blocked EGR to a bypassed EGR isn't really a valid comparison. Of course there is the problem of it being itechnically llegal in the UK (and other countries) and its a potential MOT failure issue.

Hello Grahame. Yes I would be interested to know too. Indeed my job was not a good comparaison. Regarding the mot... I don't know yet if it will pass😬 we will see. One thing that I have noticed is that the engine oil seems cleaner than before the bypass. All the best. Will

hi, thnx for the video. I am planning to buy a L322 with 3.0 bmw engine - would you recommend this model/car? I came across with many opinions and don't really know if this is a good idea. Is the car reliable ?

Hello. Thanks for your comment. In a word. Yes I would recommend buying one of these. They do have downsides. For example it sounds like an old truck when you are driving slowly. But the car really has a lot of power for a relatively small engine and sounds fantastic for a diesel when you put your foot down just a bit more. It can pull like a train 🚆 its very comfortable and easy to drive and looks awesome. We have driven the car 60000km since we bought her and she has never broken down, but of course we have spent quite a bit on maintenance. Total 260000km now and I drive her all day every day. All the best Will

@@cogfuel629 Thank you so much! Today I went for a test drive close to were I live and the car looks and drive really amazing (it is huge!), comfortable - I love it. The present owner said to me that he did change a torque converter (he bought it in Australlia and promised that it is a stronger/better than original one). Does it possible? Also he changed a front struts/shock absorber - (Arnotts), and I am wondering if this is a good replacement for original one? Does the gearbox is really defective? Take care, Arek

@@ArkadiuszKubiak hello. Sorry about the late reply. It is true that the gearbox can be fragile. You must do the gearbox service every 90000km. But I would do it as soon as you get the car. In France the parts cost 300€. Only use the original land rover stuff. I don't know about the Australian torque converter. Kindest regards

Any links for the EGR blanker you bought, please. It's nice to use a good item since you trailed it. Thank you for sharing your info for the TD6 - Richie @RROverland.
