Omg love love this! I actually met Richard and his beautiful wife last year . Was waitressing at a restaurant in Sevierville Tn. I don’t know how I knew who he was I just did! I felt it . I love the older music and the older artists , I am 51 yrs of age so I guess that’s why . I ask Richard for his autograph and he was very kind and didn’t hesitate at all we had a nice friendly conversation. Richard spoke of how he met his gorgeous wife on a cruise he said he wished that he had one of his albums with him to sign and leave for me . That’s ok though I will treasure his autograph forever . xoxo

Steve added so much during his time with the oak ridge boys, they seem to have forgotten him.
@TonyM13210 ай бұрын
It's more like they've intentionally suppressed Steve's memory than forgotten him. They stopped performing his songs live as soon as William returned. Then 15 years later when they made the album _It's Only Natural_ and remade some of the hits which featured Steve, William Lee did not sing any of Steve's solo/lead parts. I'd like someone to answer why that decision was made! Hopefully they are playing, will play songs from Steve's era on their current farewell tour. Hopefully...
@highnrising9 ай бұрын
@@TonyM132 Apparently, Golden is not the singer that Steve Sanders was. Golden does not seem to have the personality or the desire to go out in front. Duane Allen tells the story (in some other KZbin video) that he made the decision that Golden would be the lead singer on "Thank God For Kids"--but he could not get Golden to learn the song. Then he got Bonsall to sing the song as a demo for Golden and finally Golden learned the song and recorded it. The song, with Golden in front and in the lead, became a big hit and a permanent part of the Oak Ridge Boys' act.

@@friedemannkemm63 I hope so. The Lord does know why Steve went and made such a final move and so I pray that he understood. All that we know is that the Lord didn't put a stop to what happened in any way. I can't help but wonder if Steve did it because of the way that people saw him when he was a kid singing about the Lord. He eventually had to say at some point that he wasn't Jesus, but then maybe later on, he thought to himself, "We are supposed to be like him though, aren't we? He came down here to die for us and so maybe I am supposed to as well." Only the Lord knows what was going on in Steve's mind while in that bathroom. God bless you and his family always!!! @@SweetHeartHolly1982 What Jesus wants to tell Peter in John 13:10 is that those who are gods children are clean. The greek word for bathing is the same as to baptize. Even when we do something wrong, we still are gods children. Not even a suicide can divide us from him. Unfortunately, there is a common misconception about sin in many churches. They restrict their teachings about sin to deeds (including deeds with our minds and mouths). But the bible talks about sin in a threefold was: a path, a state, deeds. Since Jesus cleansed us, our state is that of a clean person. Since Jesus leads our way, we are on a good path, even when we stumble now and then. A single deed can't separate us from god. It is like having to wash our feet. But it is not falling in a state of impurity. Thus, considering all of the bible's teachings about sin is the best comfort, we can get. And, thus, we can also be made sure that Steve is indeed with our Lord!
