Your "Circle of Speed" videos are finally helping me find a real golf swing. The drill where you swing facing the target is a game changer for feeling the correct movement and then finding it again when it starts slipping away. These "accessory" lessons like the one today will help viewers like me add power once the swing concept is fully ingrained. Thank you very much!

Love to hear it. More "circle of speed" in a week or two. 👍

Marcus your method does not stress my arthritic left thumb like the swing I’ve used for the last 60 some years. I feared I would have to give up the game because it hurt so much to hit balls, before finding your videos. Now, at 75, my enthusiasm for the game has never been greater. I’m like a kid learning the game anew, and the results are a delight. Those high, long draws are a thrill!

Hi Marcus, Joe Frisina here in Bradford, PA. I started your program, Oct. 1rst 2023. By Nov. I was hitting the sweet baby draws with the driver, and I have gained 50 yards. Last time out, I hit 13 fairways right in the middle. I'm 69, and I have played 8 years. It's nice to draw the ball at will with the irons, too. Thank you, Best regards, Joe

I think another key thing about pushing with the trail hand is that it keeps you from early extending. A big teaching point today. You push towards something and pull away. If you push correctly you stay in balance naturally. Pulling can throw you way out of balance
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad7 ай бұрын
Absolutely. Pushing down will keep you down. Maybe it's time to repeat that in a ball striking video. 😊

Helpful in my transitioning from a pull swing to a push swing. Prompted the memory that, in the 1960s, golf instruction writers criticized Jack Nicklaus for his "flying right elbow" backswing.

I'm not sure what you mean but I think I'ts sad that the different "tours" out there can't talk to each other. But that is the problem when that kind of money is involved. I only watch the PGA tour on TV and think they are still doing okey.

Hello Marcus, I think release is when one hand overtakes the other one (for me as a right hander, right hand overtakes the left one). The longer the club the earlier the release, right? Now that I see or resee this video, it looks to me that a good way to obtain this is by stretching my right elbow. Is this correct? Or could you give me another more simple way to get a release?
@GolfwithMarcusEdbladАй бұрын
If stretching means that you want to extend the arm through impact it is correct 👍

Marcus, you make the golf swing so easy. None of this "pro teacher" nonsense. A few fundamentals and swing the club. Not much to remember. Weight shift, straight left arm, turn, shoulders, hips etc. if you do a check list before every swing, it could take up to 5 min. Your playing partners and those behind you could get very angry. 😊😊😊
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad8 ай бұрын
If we practice all the positions our list will be long but if we practice movement the list is short. Easy is good. 👍

Does keeping right elbow attached to side on downswing help?
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad7 ай бұрын
Hi Daniel. The trail elbow needs to work close to the side in to the ball but keeping it there will cost a lot of energy. Try to find a motion past the side instead of keeping something fixed.
