I'd like to know why the ladies attack you even when you are still "travelling with" Latenna. You'd think at the least she could come out and say "hey, it's okay, this Tarnished is cool."

Ikr, everything always attacks on site, even when i help them... hell, i actually managed to save the lone soilder from the 4 marionettes on mt gelmier, which i didnt think was possible, but the last marionette missed giving me time to kill him. So, what does the soilder do? He rushes me, and ends up dead anyways, lol. although i guess it was fair game on my journey 3, considering i straight up murder latenna just for her outfit. I was not gonna farm those super deadly albunoric archers when the drop rate is rather low. Even a 99 arcane with fowl foot build can still take a lifetime for some things, and those archer albunorics can be brutal. I have about 500 golden rune [3] after trying to get the celebrant weapons... that one almost broke me, and if the game gives me a shortcut, imma take it, even if it means murdering innocent npcs.

I'm pretty sure the Carians made the Albinaurics. The village of gen 1s is in Liurnia, and the area surrounding the academy is full of the gen 2 froggies. Also Loretta is an Albinauric and she served the Carians for a time. Also let's analyze their name: Albin: Derived from the Latin word for white/bright, and auric: Derived from the Latin word for silver.

There is one other Albinauric we can exchange words with; Pidia, retainer to the Carian Royal family. He works in cahoots with Selivus to maintain the puppets of Caria Manor, which rise against him in the event of Selivus’ death. In Caria Manor we can also find Direwolves, the larger variant of regular wolves, the kind that the Albinaurics ride. And of course, there is Royal Knight Loretta, guarding the path to Three Sisters. This implies some sort of connection between the Albinaurics and the sorcerers, although the kind of relationship they have is not totally clear. The Albinauric Shield states: “Tall oval shield made of metal carried by young Albinaurics. The ornamentation represents the primordial drop of dew from which they are said to have been created. Boasts exceptional magic damage negation. The Albinaurics' most formidable foes were sorcerers, after all.” This also implies some sort of animosity between Albinaurics and sorcerers, but then again, we find them as Carian knights and retainers, so the nature of whatever relationship they have is obscured to us I think.

I believe the "sorcerer" excerpt is referring to Gideon/Ensha in the event of the destruction of the Village of Alburnaurics. Alburnaurics themselves use sorcery, and Pidia was supposedly puppeteering Seluvis the whole time. I believe the Alburnaurics are simply infuriated becausw they're viewed as living play-dough, and use/abuse sorceries to remain somewhat of a concern to any invader. Alburnaurics seek shelter from adversaries, so it makes sense that some may view them as hostile/territorial. Oh well, regardless, all Alburnaurics try to find refuge in either the Haligtree, or Mohgwyn palace. I mean, Loretta literally left Caria manor forever to help the Alburnaurics. Maybe Caria manor despises them for that and thus claim that they hate sorcerers. Regardless of all of that, I read what you said like 10 minutes ago and I'm trailing off. Bottom line, Alburnaurics need to stop being abused/hunted :(

I think the animosity between albinaurics and sorcerors stems from the former's ties with the Carian Royalty as well as the Eternal Cities. The Glintstone obsessed sorcerers of the academy have a clear animosity towards the Carian Royals given they turned against Renalla after her divorce, and the fact that they make their students of carian sorcery wear sinners robes (see the lazuli sorcerors' armor set). The albinaurics were granted land to live in in liurnia, something presumably only the carians would have granted them, being the rulers of liurnia since before the golden order was established. There's also the fact that Loretta was a Royal Knight to the Carians and may or may not have been an Albinauric herself, but at minimum was sympathetic to them, given the embarked on a quest to literally solve all of their problems, and of course Pidia, who is an attendant to carian royalty of albinauric descend. The Royal Family is also clearly linked to the Night and the Stars that the Eternal Cities worshipped and hoped would bring their salvation, given the Age of the Stars and Lord of Night ending are archived by marrying a Carian woman, and the Carians are said to have their fate guided by the stars, as did the inhabitants of the eternal Cities, who are presumably the creators of the albinaurics. Thi is why I think the true enemies of the albinaurics are the glintstone sorcerors, who oppose the power the Night and Stars have over destiny and see the Carians and Albinaurics as heretics. This also makes sense if you consider that the Academy is being infiltrated by Sellian Sorceror Assassins, who, according to their spells's descriptions, often kill other sorcerors, and come from a clearly Noxian City in the style of the Eternal Cities.

There seems to be some ties between the Carians and the Eternal Cities. In this case, many of the Albinaurics come from places that have relation with the Carians, such as Loretta who was a Carian Knight, or the ones in Volcano Manor. But then, at the same time, Ordina, the town the Albinaurics in the Consecrated Snowfield live, has Eternal City architecture, and there are Black Knife Assassins lurking around. I think it might be worth looking into the relation between the Carians and the Eternal Cities.

Maybe there's a connection with the Nox attempting to create a god, Philia being so large possibly because she's a different sort of empyrean, and why Miquela was harboring the Albinaurics when his goals seems to be to supplant the greater will.

Just something I observed. Do you think Phillia, being the only giant albanauric we see in game, could be the precursor to the giant sitting skeletal remains that sits on the temple in the eternal city? Like they are the birthing mothers and the mimics that we fight near the temple are the offspring. Which will explain why phillia is on her way to the Halic tree, to create something similar to what we see in the eternal city, a temple to birth the new generation of albanaurics.

I assume the Albinaurics in general (all two/three versions of them) are a reference to the old tale of the Homunculus, being an artificially created living being although what always interested me about the first wave of Albinaurics (Latenna and her people) is the fact they're reminiscent of the Amazons from ancient greek mythology (or at least that's the vibe I always got from them. Being a primarily women dominated sub-faction, living in a cold area like how the Amazons would have lived in what is now the ukraine and being mounted wolf-archers - instead of a horse). Although this is all speculation on their inspiration, I'm glad there is more story to them as Latenna is definitely a favourite.

Since everything is enmeshed with something I can't help but wonder if the creation of their race, similar to Seluvis' giving of life to puppets, was a manner of defiance against a cruel regime. You find them in the snow fields near the also-persecuted giants, which could indicate they were made in an effort to stave off the giants' slaughter or, given the inexplicable size of Philia, to one day create more of them. Everywhere you go in this game it's faction versus faction, and if Any of this is the case it stands to reason that we don't know who created them in the first place because 1) they were seen as a threat and killed or 2) they fled or were banished to the badlands as a sympathizer. From this point there could have been a failed attempt at their recreation and repurposing by a rival faction that didn't have all the details and ended up with the unfeeling, primative frogmen. Or I have watched the X-Files one too many times.

This quest is one of my favorites, thank you for making this video. Seeing this video title reminds me of Smoughtown's Elden Ring videos, and how he says that the Albinaurics always seem to find their way into his videos, regardless of the subject. Just shows how far the Albinaurics have travelled across the Lands Between, and how they're hunted and hated regardless of where they go. And I mean, after all they went through, who wouldn't want to help Latenna fulfill her quest, so their race might live on?

What a missed opportunity.... they could've made it such that upgrading your "Lone Wolf Ashes" would at one point give you the option to 'evolve' them into "Direwolf Spirit Ashes". Then later in the game, you can gain the ability to combine different Spirit Ashes together.... like having Latenna mount one of your three Direwolf Spirit ashes, while the other two fight by her side.... effectively giving her cover, while she runs circles around enemies and bosses, firing at them with her arrows. Sure.... this might make the game "too easy"... but you have to admit, fights would look a hell of a lot more fun with her, plus upgraded wolf/direwolf ashes. Or.... Lone Wolf Ashes+Mimic Tear Ash = 4 wolves!

I think Philia is larger because she is something of a Frankenstein's Monster. She is young and huge because the Albinaurics made her out of pieces of themselves long after the other Albinaurics were made. To make an Albinauric that can birth Albinaurics - a race that likely has no juvenile form - might involve giant, pieced together ladies to give birth to full-grown Albinaurics.

ok, i've been thinking about this. im also interested in these albinaurics. i dont even know where to start. lets begin on their background, this could be a long one, so bear with me okay. skip it if you're not interested. so there's 2 kinds of albinaurics, yes? the 1st gen, and the 2nd gen. the 1st gen are those who has frail legs and the 2nd gen are those gray skinned, short, frog like creatures. at this point, we all can agree that these guys are manmade, yes? now, where can we find the albinaurics? the 1st gen, is obviously in albinauric village, the snowfield, haligtree, capital and volcano manor. the 2nd gen, roaming around liurnia, snowfield and also in mohgwyn palace. ok, lets keep this facts for now. you see.. there's another that has similar trait to the albinaurics. the juvenile scholars. remember rennala 1st phase? yup, those kids she called sweetings. it seems that they also has disfunctional lower half, just like the albinaurics, its just.. unlike most albinaurics these kids can do magics, which makes sense, if you read the desc in the juvenile scholar robe or cap, it says "the juveniles birthed anew by the amber egg of Queen Rennala, the head of Raya Lucaria Academy. Yet their rebirth is not without imperfections, and thus do they repeat the process, eventually becoming utterly dependent upon it." so they were a regular scholars at first, they accepted rebirth from Rennala, then they become like that, still they can keep their past skills as they can still do magics. also, if you complete Boc the seamster questline and choose to give him a larvar tear, he would become one of those sweetings too, and die soon after. so basically, every living things (doesnt have to be human) who's rebirthed, would end in the same state. except for us, we're completely fine, we can freely change our stats and appearance. why us? the reason is.. because we hold the rune of the unborn. it perfected our rebirth as described in the great rune explanation. based on all these, im 90% sure, that the origin of the albinaurics, has something to do with Rennala and her amber egg. the albinauric shield also kinda resemble the amber egg, and it was given to Rennala by Radagon himself, and radagon is marika yes? so the "primordial dew" is probably the amber egg. also you can find the 1st gen albinaurics only when you reach liurnia, none of them in limgrave nor caelid. so its fair to say that their place of origin is the liurnia region. this can be reinforced by the fact that their creations.. is somewhat without purpose. its less likely that a lifeform created by human hands, served no purpose for the creators, isnt it weird? if you want to create a soldier, or a servant, why would you create something so fragile, they cant even walk properly. if its only a failed experiment, then there shouldnt be a lot of them, and we should also be able to see the perfected one, but there are none. its like.. they're just there, a bunch of them enough to coexist as a village, existing, to be looked down upon, discriminated and abused. even by sorcerers. so because of this, they seek another place where they can live in peace, as it seems Rennala doesnt really care much about them, deeply heartbroken apparently she's not really in her right mind. eager to keep using the amber egg, and pay no mind to whatever came out of it. okay.. so some of them albinaurics can be found in the snowfield and ordina town. this can be explained, because miquella apparently wanted to create a safe haven where everyone can live in peace. the albinaurics and the misbegotten seek to reach this place. you can even see some of them vulgar militants. some can be found in the royal capital and volcano manor. i suspect, these guys were on the way to the haligtree, but get caught on the way. tortured, killed and experimented on. or.. maybe rykard simply abducted some of them from the start since... well, he's in fact Rennala's son. despite their horrible fate, the albinaurics still got hope. one person seems to care about their wellbeing. only one, she is Loretta, Loretta is a strong knight, she's capable to escort them to the haligtree, most probably she escorted the female ones, since most of them made it there safely. and maybe she also teach them how to defend themselves, teaching them her mount-combat style. this explain why the female ones has combat capability, especially if they have a mount, which is interesting, if you summon Latenna near a wolf enemy, she will tame the wolf and mount it, boosting her combat ability. trust me, i did it once, its really cool. now... i cant find much about the 2nd gen albinaurics. all i know, most of them can be found in liurnia and the haligtree, and some in mohg palace. my guess is, they also seek a safe place to live, and some of them reached the haligtree. but, apparently some of them pledged themselves to the lord of blood, maybe at some point they meet him, or one of the bloody fingers, and chose to ally themselves to the lord of blood. or maybe they're there just because mohg brings (kidnapped) miquella, since we know, mohg intend to build a dynasty with miquella as the lord. so they follow him there. as to why they're so different from their predecessors. i have no clue. if there's anyone else with ability to craft a lifeform, allegedly, probably those nox people in the eternal city. but i dont think they have anything to do with the albinaurics, since none of them can be found in both eternal cities. this could imply that the albinaurics exist only after the eternal cities destructions/buried underground. maybe they become like that through natural evolution? or maybe, mohg has something to do with it? for now.. i can only wonder.

The curiosity to me in all this is the Gen 2 Albinaurics. They're something of an anomaly. Unlike the Gen 1s or Gen 3s, they can actually walk and are very agile. We never meet one we can speak with, unlike Albis and Latenna. And while the Gen 1s and 3s seem loyal to Miquella, we find a ton of Gen 2s seemingly worshipping Mohg and his dynasty.

Very cool video! Thank you! Interesting how all male humanoid albinaurics are ugly and old, while the female are pretty and young…

I have a theory that this has to do with their reliance on magic. They don't pull their sorceries from glintstone, they pull it from their innate arcane energy. Perhaps their advanced aging could be related to this, as the female albinaurics rely more on their prowess with a bow with some very light magic.

I heard the theory that the albinorics change gender when they grow older. All the male ones we encounter seem frail and withered while all the female ones are young and healthy. So maybe the men were too frail to take the long way to the Haligtree. I love your videos by the way! You got a new fan.

Pidia is an interesting case. There's an incredibly strong theory about him actually being the puppet master behind Selivus that makes a LOT of sense.

I still wonder if Latennas wolf lobo is a reference to the souls twitch streamer lobosjr. I'd like to think that it is a nod to a souls content creator out there lol.

I feel bad for the wimen and men I don’t like to kill them unless I have to but the ones at palace approach ledge road are just creepy looking so I kill as many as I can especially the ones who shoot spikes when doing cartwheels and vomiting silver liquid and the meatball ones that try and eat you 😂🤣😂🤣

Man, you're making me feel bad for killing her on journey 3... but i really wanted that outfit, and ill blow my dad before i try farming those god damned archers again, super low drop and super deadly arrows are a terrible mix. I also feel bad for killing millicent, but i wanted that talisman, lol. Tbf, i did it on the FF ending, so they would all die anyways.

Either Ensha or the Bloodhound knight. She mentions the "all-hearing brute" which is likely referring to Ensha, as a finger leader crone also refers to the "all-hearing" as the person who led the attack on the albinauric village, Ensha.

Few corrections here. Gen 1 Albanurics are Albanurics like Lutenna, the wolf riders, Pidia, and Albus from the Albanuric village. Like you said they all have frail legs that either away. Gen 2 Albanurics are the more frog looking ones. I think they're intentionally made to be androgenous since the only differences we see among them are in relation to their sizes. Lastly, there are Gen 2 Albanurics living in the consecrated snow fields. They are NE of Ordina.

Is it really a correction to point out there are different generations? This video only dealt with the humanoid albinaurics, not their gen 2 frog brothers.

Don't get me wrong! I love lore videos! About all the fromsoft games. But I'm always disappointed when there's no own theory about the lore that is being told. It's like thanks, but i can read all that myself. What i can't do is get a different viewpoint from myself. If you don't give your own perspective, there is literally no reason for me to watch your videos.

Our theory is that the birthing droplet came from the village of male albinaurics and we also discuss why we think the male and female albinaurics are separated, it's right there in the video.

I would theorize that the Albanaurics were created by Miquella, since they call the Hailigtree their home and the game does place a lot of importance on the fact that they are NOT guided by the grace of the Greater Will.
