the only issue with consort radahn is mechanics, nothing is "lazy" about the lore ,if you actually read what the whole point is, its meant to reflect how much of a hypocrite miquella is, claiming to want to create a better age yet they caused things like Caelid to happen and ended up getting radahn killed, and nearly caused her own sister to become a full on rot goddess, and then ended up defiling radahn and mohg by creating a clone of them all so that they can ascend to godhood, miquella is painted as the kind yet none of their actions are actually kind, everything they have done they have done it to selfishly become a god, it should give you an idea of what their "rule" is actually like

@@alquimista4596I agree. I was in the camp that thought Radahn felt lazy and even fanservicey when I first saw him, but after learning what actually happened I’ve since understood it more. The issue is, as you said, Miquella and Radahn have very few links in the base game outside of the Caelid war, with Miquella having far more links to Godwyn (yes I know his soul is dead, they could’ve figured something out). As such it feels out of left field at first for it to be him.

The Frenzy Flame boss is so awesome. I love that really make you earn it as well. No horse in a large area. You have to play stealth sections. I also love that they try to bait and switch us. You walk into the boss arena and it's just a tiny frail man trying to tackle you. Lmao anyway i loved that fight probably my favorite in this DLC. Bayle the Dread is a very close second just because of the NPC that has a quest to go with his boss fight. 10/10 voice acting dude brought all the ham with him to the recording booth and I love it 🤣

I absolutely love the bosses in the shadow lands. This DLC gave me more Elden Ring with a fresh lick of paint and that’s exactly what I wanted from it and it’s exactly what they delivered upon and the Shadow Lands is such a breath taking place. Glad Fromsoft were able to fully deliver on my expectations and gave me a truly satisfying experience.

Radahn is probably the biggest symptom of the need to always make harder bosses at fromsoftware, having beaten him I felt like half his gameplay was very skill intensive and the other half was just getting a lucky run during the second phase so I could actually damage him at all. My runs with phase 2 were either always reach late phase 3 or die instantly.

Could not agree more myself. First phase I could no hit pretty easily aside from that one double slash into the shockwave move. Pure skill and it was mostly great. Second was pure rng hell and I hated every second. No joy after beating him, only relief that I was done.

@@thevastestoft1697 the double slash was especially annoying for me because I would dodge the first hit and the 2nd and 3rd hits were guaranteed since it covers dodge rolling the first and for some reason, when I would get hit with the 2nd one it would stagger me for so long the 3rd hit was guaranteed (though I've seen its not the case for everyone I don't know how to fix this)

And if you don’t dodge the first you’re also getting hit by the second. And the damage it does is unreal for how fast it comes out. Just an absolute nightmare and I will not be surprised if he gets nerfed into oblivion.

So in the end, Morgott was right only for all his brothers. (Maybe less in Mogh). Postscript: Miquella took the Soul of Radahn and put it in the dead body of Mogh, in addition to controlling the latter with her power, so in the end, Morgott and Mogh are the VICTIMS of that entire family. As Morgott said: Traitors engulfed in the flames of ambition.

Ok, to be honest, I actually dont mind the final boss at all, with the whole Miquella is a parasite who manipulates others for his own benefit storyline, but people in the comments have GOT TO STOP coping and gaslighting others by saying that this was somehow a planned plot twist since the base game. Like yes, they are retroactively now trying to fit it together with new item decriptions, but the truth is there was an entire voiced Miquella game ending (with the same voice actress credited btw) datamined in the base game, and it had ZERO hint of a Radahn relationhsip, and neither did any of the items, locations or lore. So that at least show that in some early stage of the games development, this wasnt part of the story. When and how that changed is debatable, but peple saying BUT ITS MYAZAKI & GRRM PLAN FROM THE START are simply wrong.

And the moment from the Story Trailer you are talking about was one of those purposefully open-ended details left unexplained, so they could go back and retoractively connect the story when its convenient. Unless you mean to tell me that you can literally lip read that exact sentence from Malenias lips in the trailer? Its a weak arguemnt imo. Thats literally how they write their stories, they leave so much open-ended nuggets that hint at more story and like they are leading somewehre, but they most often dont. And then later when the story expands with DLC they can expand on them and connect it retroactively.

Here’s the thing, the DLC does explain a few things in the base game. Like how mogh manage to bypass the defenders of the haligtree to get to miquella, or why malenia the supposed “blade of miquella” didn’t even consider some kind of rescue. Also looking back on radahns lore, it described how strong he was and how he aspired to be like Godfrey and his father, both of whom were Elden lords, is now foreshadowing his own fate. It also gives more context to the battle between radahn and malenia in caelid. I admit that it is a twist most people didn’t see coming, the way I see it is that Elden ring base game is like a book with missing pages, the dlc is some of the missing pages.

And Miquella wanted to use eclipse to put Godwyn's body to rest but failed. It makes sense that Radahn is the consort. Strength befits crown and Radahn is the strongest of demigods, plus he's depicted as a kind and brave demigod, something Kindly Miquella would be interested in. The thing about Godwyn and why his death is so terrifying to the golden order is that the idea that a demigod's soul can be destroyed permanently. That's how scary it is and why it culminates in shattering. I'd say please set aside your headcanon for a moment

I'll say this. The DLC is ok, but Sekiro's bosses are much more tactical and satisfying to fight, while the DS3 bosses are still breathtaking 8 years later.

@@zachtaylor5312 exactly... friede,gael, namless king and especially champion gundyr. That game was something else. Don't get me wrong ,elden ring has a lot of good bosses but ds3/bloodborne bosses had some of the best aesthetics ,soundtracks with the lore. It was just better.

I loved this game to bits. The bosses. The world design the story and the lore of how Marika left messmer behind and Miquella even when having good intentions ultimately repeating the same process as Marika. But then radahn appears and that's the only part I didn't like. If I'm being honest I really did love this game. But I'm not considering that ending cannon there's just no way. For me the true ending is with either messmer or Midra no other. They really could have made the final boss something more. And yes I know it's a mix of mohg and radahn but it just doesn't feel right. But still w dlc.

As someone who has been trying to defeat Blackgaol Knight for hours the problem I have with these new bosses isn’t that they can kill you in two hits because that’s what makes Elden Ring challenging. My problem is that the bosses have so much health you might as well be throwing stones at them.

Radahn is just impossible in 1v1 . This final boss is a deception, Messmer is just the best boss in the dlc , and for me the best boss of Elden ring. Radahn is just an annoying boss , and literally impossible.
