I think the issue of the voiced protagonists would be solved if Bethesda would take another, serious stab at parallel game series set within TES, and restrict the voiced protagonists to these more action-adventure RPG-style games. .
@ericamborsky32302 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I agree. I feel the problem with the player character in Fallout 4 is that the voice lines put them in a middle ground between a blank slate avatar who you can project character, tone and exact wording onto and an established character and they just wind up with the worst of both worlds.
@smuggrog98212 жыл бұрын
Yeah agreed, honestly I wouldn't mind if Bethesda brought back the Elder Scrolls Adventure games. a more linear, Witcher styled rpg, with a fixed character would be cool to see.

Referring to the Fallout 4 settlement system which you all were talking about at the end, the worst part wasn’t necessarily the large amount of settlements (though it was way overdone), but the constant hand-holding after you set things up. No matter how well fortified and well armed with heavy firepower you gave a settlement, it seems they couldn’t fight off even small bands of raiders, and once any little thing broke, the only person apparently able to fix anything was the Sole Survivor. I honestly wanted to like the Minute Men, but in most of my newer play throughs I avoided them like the plague, not even talking to Preston after the museum (hey, free power armor is hard to say no to). It’s hard to get through the game when you’re babysitting a whole commonwealth full of helpless settlers.
@antiochus872 жыл бұрын
Yeah that was my complaint too. It never mattered how much you decked out the settlements or the settlers, they were always dead weights that needed babysitting. What I'd prefer is if they made them get to a level where they became properly safe bases of a full on faction and instead they might give you quests to take out raider or supermutant bases in the area.
@komiks42 Жыл бұрын
Yea. That sucked. I could have settlers armed to the teeth, with heavy combat armor, plasma weapons, some run with gatling lasers and power armor. Settlement surrounded by concrete wall, guarded by sentinel robots and turrets. And then, 6 raiders could kidnapp one of my settlers if i don't show up. Like, c'mon.

I think I just didn’t process when you guys would say your names in videos, and then prior to the podcast I don’t think you guys did voiced videos together? But when I started listening I think I remembered the “Drew the daedrologist” and then Scott or Michael did a video and I actually processed the name and was like “WHAT” and that’s when I realized. But Michael and Scott sound fairly similar, but Drew sounds different (deeper voice, different accent) but it gives me a good chuckle when on every podcast video there’s the inevitable “holy shit it’s three different guys” comment.
