I suppose I've taken the Clingers for granted. Did you know her sister Jeanette sang in the legendary Disneyland Rock Group, Halyx? Good afternoon, Dave it's been awhile. I've been floating around YT, but i haven't said much-i've kept kind of quiet. Wow, Debra Clinger. There's a name i haven't heard in a lifetime. So at last the mystery solved. Who knew she could sing? The Electra-Woman and Dyna-Girl theme is probably the best saturday morning theme song ever [With 'Land of The Lost' coming in second, which was sung by the Osmonds] I smiled all the way through this video, fondly remembering this show and the theme song-so thank you for bringing back those 'saturday morning memories'. I searched for years trying to find 'Midnight Madness', and finally succeeded around 2017. I'll have to look for the 'Rock Flowers' album. Have a great day Dave and thank you once again.

"Midnight Madness" was the 2nd "PG" Rated movie for Disney in February of 1980. The 1st was Disney's "The Black Hole" in December of 1979.

David Naughton was in an awful movie called Hotdog, The Movie, as well as a short-lived disco roller-skating t.v. series called Makin' It, which also had him singing the theme song. Thanks so much for finally bringing us the solution to the mystery. I've wondered about it for decades myself, as I LOVED Electra Woman and Dyna Girl. The funny thing is that no one figured out that it was Debra Clinger, given that she was actually a singer on the Krofft Super Show. It makes perfect sense. Now that I know it was Debra I say, "OF COURSE it was her! I should have recognized her voice!" She played a singer friend of Frank & Joe's on The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries (in the episode "Oh Say Can You Sing"). I've watched that episode so many times, I can't believe I didn't put her voice together with the EW & DG theme song. BTW, she also sings an exquisite duet entitled "Walk Away" with Shaun Cassidy's Joe Hardy on that episode. As always, Dave, you're the best; your channel rocks!

Point of correction. The Rock Flowers were a line of dolls created by Mattel, and they came with records. The girls who performed on the records were promoted ad the Rock Flowers. Mattel creates dolls, creates music for dolls, promotes petformers as a ' band'. It wasnt that there was a band, and then dills were made of them

Thanks for dispelling more internet B.S. claiming that Cyndi Lauper was the singer of the ORIGINAL "Electra Woman and Dyna Girl" theme tune in 1976. You and I knew this was not the case. Cyndi sang the theme at the TV Land Awards tribute to Sid & Marty Krofft. Other internet untruths include Farah Fawcett holding the record for the best-selling wall poster of all-time when that honor in fact goes to Heather Thomas with her also iconic pink bikini hot tub poster. Heather told me so herself when I interviewed her. Nothing against Farrah, though. I liked both posters.

In cas in the Season 3 Finale of The Ms.Marvel Show, The Marriage of ABC-TV and Capital Cities Communications, Electra Woman and Dyna Girl are members of The ABC-TV Superheroes, a team of Superheroes sworn to protect Miss ABC-TV and Handsome Good Looking Capital Cities Communications, in which The Greatest American Hero was the leader of The ABC-TV Superheroes. When Electra Woman and Dyna Girl were trapped at the 688 in Atlanta, GA by Glitter Rock and his Punk Rock Nephew, Nouveau, there is one Superheroine and her talking puppy dog would come to the rescue. Dyna Girl then sees them and says: Electra Woman! It's Ms. Marvel and Spacepuppy who is coming to our rescue! Glitter Rock then said: Nouveau, get that wretched Superheroine and her Talking Mutt! Spacepuppy: Mutt! I'll teach you not to call me a mutt! She bit him on the legs! Ms.Marvel freed Electra Woman and Dyna Girl. Dyna Girl then said: Thanks, Ms.Marvel and Spacepuppy. Just then, Glitter Rock and Nouveau tried to escape, but The Female Fury caught them. Ms.Marvel's Seventh Sense warned her that something was not right. Electra Woman then said: Dyna Girl, Glitter Rock is very sad. Dyna Girl: I wonder why. Ms.Marvel then replied: I know why Glitter Rock is sad. His Partner, Sideman died of the plague that takes one's handsome and pretty image away. (For those who are wondering, you can't talk about AIDS on a family show. Not only that, the Censors at ABC-TV would not be too pleased, along with Marvel Productions.) Electra Woman says: From two Superheroines to another Superheroine, Thank you for coming to the rescue. Ms.Marvel then said: I know that Nouveau needs professional help. I am taking Nouveau to Boys Town. Ms. Marvel flew all the way to Nebraska and to Boys and Girls Town. Father Haynie was surprised to see The Masked Mystery Girl landing inside of Boys and Girls Town.
