The Model Y Performance from Berlin needs physically at least 118,54kW (without rollibg resistance) to drive 250km/h at 20°C with the Stock Ueberturbine 21" tires Energy Lable "B" (max 7,7 N/kN) cw: 0,23; A:2,54m². Accounting for about ~80% efficiency (including rolling resistance), the Battery needs release ~150kW. So at 75kWh usable Battery capacity you could drive about 30 minutes or 125km. Guess the Taycan needs about ⅓ more Energy ~200kW. Combined with the Tesla this is ~350kW. And at 200W average electrical Energy for a German person you both consume about as much as 1750 Germans. 😎 For comparison, a BMW X5 xDrive50i (2013-2018) consumes about 49,3L/100km at a speed of 261km/h ,this equals about 440kWh/100km. The Model Y consumes about 60kWh/100km at 250km/h or about 7 times less Energy. But, great drive 😎 Would love to see you go full speed from 100% to 5% SoC 😁

Those numbers are surprisingly accurate. If Go flat out till the (95-5%) I get around 80km from the batteries

@@TopSpeedBrothers Thanks for the confirmation of my calculations 😎👍 🤟😁 Physics rocks. I overestimated (5%) the consumption a bit. So it seems that the Drivetrain of the Model Y Performance is even more efficient as I thought. With a EU-Energy Label "A" T tires it would even be more efficient, sadly actually there are not a single option for the 21" Ueberturbine rims. And the higher the air Temperature, the lower the aerodynamic resistance, the longer the range. 😁 Nice to hear that the MYP is able to hold Vmax down ton5%SoC I would love to see you go Fullspeed down to 5% SoC. With 10°C higher Temperature and Tires with a EU-Energy Label "A" you should get about ~100km of Range. (Sadly a short period of time, we need bigger batteries 😁)

But remember the better Speedholding on the German made Y is because of the new LG batteries and not the new factory! 2022 Model 3 Performance do the same. Only 2021 and older Performance Models doesnt hold the speed at lower percentagees

ok that would make sense its a noticeable difference. the Model Y isnt nearly as fast as the model 3 but the power is much more Constanzes at all most all battery percentages. Also it seem to be charging with around 10-15Kwh faster across the board

This indeed was a rare encounter. Commentary in point 😅 Driven shotgun once in a M3P at full speed felt so surreal, like in a rocket trough the wind, I loved it. But I for one seem to be one of the rare breed how never realy was fond of loud exhausts noise.

The Taycan cross tourismo is without a doubt the best looking EV, thoroughly impressed with the performance of the Y! A softer suspension would do wonders for it it’ll be unstoppable but still won’t be a match to the Germans cause they just get more compliant and stable the faster you go

I think the cross tourism is the coolest but the „normal“ taycan is prettier in my eyes. The y performance well not as fast as a three but all right for a pretty tall suv. I agree a softer suspension would make the y a faster and more confident inspiring road car. It’s sometimes scratchy when you hit a bump at highspeed through a corner but a good upgrade suspension should fix that

Driving like this uses roughly 60kwh but that’s with the acceleration. At constant 200 it’s more like 35-40kwh per 100km

Yes but i can "recharge" that energy in a mich sorter time especially on long distance trips it makes a difference.I am not against electric cars i believe they are the future especially for daily city commute. I drive them because tesla does offer the best bang for the buck, where else do I get a 500+HP car that is so much fun for so little.
