It wasn't mentioned in the video but it's impressive that they offer ventilated seats on such a small and "regular" car. Hyundai did offer that with the leather seats in the latest i30 too, so in that sense it's not that surprising for Hyundai but for the segment it's wild.

I love the Korean brands for doing this. I used to exclusively buy German cars, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche etc but one thing I cannot stand is the 6 million options lists and the fact stuff that comes standard on a 20k Hyundai i10 is a 3k package on a 70k audi. Disgraceful really.

@@Stewiedude1 One thing Mercedes does that pisses me off too is that they can put ventilated seats on artico pleather, but they won't on more expensive models. It's very expensive for a town car, internal combustion engined vehicles are overpriced, but they can be fuelled in a few minutes and can go around 300+ miles between filling up, you can see a fuel station, you don't need an expensive technical phone (and a PhD to be able to use it) to somehow operate and find charging points, and petrol and diesel can be paid for with CASH!!!
@johnnodge4327Ай бұрын
@@andrewgage6942 You may be able to fill a fossil fuel tank in a few minutes, but you have to be there for that, and kiss goodbye to a small fortune every time. I plug my EV in when I get home, and it charges itself overnight for 1/10th of the cost of an equivalent ICE. I don't have to waste any time going somewhere to buy a special liquid fuel, that's just ridiculous to me.

@johnnodge4327 you are lucky enough to be able to get electricity at home, I don't have that privilege as I live in the centre of town, I park my car wherever I can find a space, usually about 10-15 minutes walk from home, I can't use public transport because I work nights and the area where I work, there's no public transport, I have to rely on my vehicle to get me to and from work, that's all I use my vehicle for, I combine shopping trips with my journey home, I agree that fossil fuels are expensive, but to survive, I have to work, to work, I need transport, my little diesel is cheaper than a motorbike to run, it's also bought and paid for, it's old, but it's all I can afford

The Casper/Inster was originally launched with an ICE. You can order it as a "Van" and get it without rear seats, safety cage so the cargo won't move around and break the glass or knock tge driver in the head. BTW. Who picked the driving route? That's my usual weekend morning or late night drive course. Lot's of nice cafe's and eateries along the route. Plus it's the base of the winding mountain road where there is a spot where you get panoramic views of Seoul. Very nice choice. About the reas seat...slides and reclines like the Ioniq 5, so the rear seat is actually not a bad place to sit for a subcompact car.

If they were given even slightly higher charging speeds giving them real world ‘splash and dash’ type charging capability (under 10 mins) then I think they’d sell a hell of a lot more to all types of buyers. Just because it’s small doesn’t mean it shouldn’t charge fast, why make everyone wait 30 mins for a 10-80% charge when it’s so small?! less time at the plug will help everyone!

Nice review, and I still wonder how you handle traffic signs in Korean. It looks to me as if you would buy the Inster with your head rather than heart. The small cars from any of the French brands, Mini, or even Fiat or Alfa do a better job on the heart. BTW I see the recording was before your editorial ban on “city cars”, and the inster would work perfectly well in a rural low mileage setting. I am thinking of buying a car at the moment and one major consideration is where is my nearest dealer. With the Inster it is probably 15 miles away, as is the Mini. Peugeot have a dealer about ten miles away. I am not sure about Citroen or Fiat, and Alfa, that paragon of reliability, makes me drive over fifty miles if I can make it. Smart is over fifty miles for a main dealer and forty for servicing. Others do not seem to have a dealer network at all.

Since there is probably zero chance we will get modern, practical small electric cars here in the USA anytime soon, I'll just continue to drive my 2016 Nissan Leaf, in spite of it showing only 70 to 85 miles of range on a full charge. And I refuse to buy any EV that doesn't have stalks on the steering column.
