There is so much about this video that brings tears. Her brutal treatment. The long, hard trip to rescue her - for some reason I can see how difficult it really is with those late-night gas station stops & that horrible bleak lighting, & how exhausted Lek looks. So very hard. My heart is overflowing with joy at her rescue. She will have wonderful golden years. Thank you ENP.

Lek is the Mother Theresa of elephants in Thailand!! She is an inexhaustible caretaker of these majestic creatures and a visionary in the area of animal rescue without peer. I end up coming to tears every time I watch one of these videos knowing that if she hadn't gone to the rescue, there are few people in the world who would, and this poor abused creature probably would have died of a heart attack under a heavy weight at a logging site somewhere in the mountains of Thailand.

Notice in each rescue, while travelling, elephants know by their hearts first freedom leading to final rest n happier lives by holding up its trunk higher n higher to the sky n catch the wind of freedom.
